      Description

      Upgrade Your Supercharger's Drive Belt System. The factory 4-6-rib supercharger drive belt system included with your Mustang's Vortech supercharger is a reliable and efficient system for mild to moderate power production. However, it may be insufficient in high-horsepower, high boost applications. Unfortunately, when the drive belt system is overwhelmed, belt slippage occurs between the supercharger drive pulley and the drive belt, causing a loss of energy transfer from the crankshaft to the supercharger head unit. This energy loss translates to lower compressor speed, reduced boost, and limited power. If you've been experiencing power-robbing belt slip, consider upgrading your supercharger drive belt system with the help of this Vortech 10-Rib Supercharger Pulley. A 10-rib drive belt system drastically reduces belt slip with double the surface area, allowing for efficient supercharger operation.

      Alter Your Mustang's Boost Curve. Centrifugal superchargers are mechanically-driven, relying on the motion of the crankshaft to rotate the supercharger drive pulley/impeller and create boost. They're also effortless to fine-tune for this reason, with a quick supercharger drive pulley swap drastically altering the boost curve. With a smaller diameter pulley, boost comes on quicker and harder at low RPMs, though the rotational torque applied to the supercharger compressor is far lower. The inverse also applies to a larger pulley: rotational torque is increased, while boost is lowered across the RPM range.
