Dropping ride height is a popular upgrade for Mustang owners since they can improve both looks and performance. Although in this case it’s less about horsepower and more about corner carving. SR Performance’s Mustang Lowering Springs cover all of the generations, and they also offer handling packages for 1994-2004 Mustangs. Their springs will drop your Mustang by 1.5 inches in both the front and rear. An inch and a half may not sound like much, but it’s enough to change the entire attitude of your pony. These springs will work with stock tire and wheel combos, but remember that lowering your Mustang will change the suspension geometry. This is why SR Performance offers a strut tower brace as well as caster/camber plates in some of their handling packages. The strut bar will further reduce body roll while caster/camber plates offer adjustability to dial in your Mustang’s suspension. No matter what combination of upgrades you go with, we always highly recommend getting an alignment after all parts are installed so you don’t wear out your tires earlier than expected.
