      Hey guys, Stephanie with, here with this SR Performance Cut and Clamp Resonator Delete X-Pipe, available for 2015 and up GT Mustangs. This Resonator Delete X-Pipe from SR Performance is going to be for the S550 GT owners out there that are looking to increase the sound level of their car quickly and without necessarily having to spring for an entirely new exhaust system. This makes it perfect for those of you out there that are on a budget but that need to open up some value and create more of a muscle car sound. Replacing the resonator with an X-Pipe can totally change the sound of the car, even with the stock axleback still installed. The Resonator Delete is firstly going to free up some power and, of course, volume, since it will be replacing that restrictive factory resonator with a 409-grade, stainless steel X-Pipe that is more free-flowing.So not only are you going to have a major change in sound with this X-Pipe, but you'll also be freeing up some power as well. While this does reuse the factory cat so it stays smog-legal, you're still going to have those sound and power gains here and reusing the stock cats will save you money, which is always a plus. This X-Pipe is 2.5" in diameter and [inaudible 00:02:18] and like I said, it is 409-grade which is great for those cars that are daily drivers or those that see weather conditions other than the sun. It's going to offer great corrosion resistance and, like I mentioned earlier, one of the cool things about this X-Pipe is that you can pair it with your stock mufflers for a change of exhaust note, or you can run it with an aftermarket axleback. So you'll cut and remove the factory resonator and clamp into place the new X-Pipe, no matter what axleback you back.But either way you'll still maintain the use of the stock cats. So like a typical X-Pipe, this X-Pipe from SR Performance is going to force the exhaust gases to cross and even out. It's going to create a raspy note and a lot more volume, even with the factory components. On a scale of one to five, with five being the loudest, and keeping in mind that you're still going to have your stock cats, I would rate this X-Pipe with a solid two with the factory axleback. It definitely opens up some sound, but it's not overbearing or crackly or too raspy with the factory axleback. But if you're planning on swapping your factory axleback anytime soon, just know that this X-Pipe will help make things a lot louder. Depending on which axleback you end up choosing, you could be looking at more of a four on the loudness scale.As far as price goes, this X-Pipe Resonator Delete is the most affordable on the site, especially when you start to consider how much exhaust costs for the S550. This X-Pipe costs just a little over $100 and there currently is only one other X-Pipe that even comes close to this price. But the real kicker is, this other option is made from aluminized steel, while the SR Performance X-Pipe is that 409-stainless that I mentioned. At the end of the day, I would say that this is a great deal. You have a fast and easy way to totally change your exhaust and it's also a high-quality material. And if you think about it, if you pair this with an aftermarket axleback, you've effectively created a cat-back for your GT and you've paid a lot less for it.As for the install, you do have some flexibility here. Like the name suggests, there will be some cutting involved but nothing too difficult. If you take your time, it's going to take about two hours to complete, maybe less. And I'm going to call this a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, but mainly just because of the cutting that's involved. The X-Pipe does come with brand new clamps that SR Performance has upgraded so they'll perform correctly, and like I just mentioned, you always have the option of clamping the front and welding in the rear of the X-Pipe. But that's up to you and your shop. A lot of people like welding in the rear better but that's not something that you have to do.I will say that the X-Pipe is 2.5" out the rear as well, which means that you will need to slit or expand the ends so you can slip it over your factory exhaust. That's going to be the only downside here, but ultimately that's really just a small bump in the install road. It's nothing to really rain on the parade of the value of this piece, especially if you have a good shop installing it. So overall, this is a high-quality, stainless steel Resonator Delete X-Pipe that can work with either the factory axleback or an aftermarket one. It also works with the factory cats and it's going to free up some sound and volume from the GT.         5 2018 GT - 0260B4U Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        SR x-pipe with Roush axle back.

        Product is good looks good sounds great with the roush axle back on a 2018 10 speed auto, rev matching produces amazing crackle and pops, cold starts will startle people standing near it with the remote start, its loud! only draw back is it drones very loud on surface street speeds once it gets into its highest gear, I simply put it in sport mode and drone goes away, or paddle shift it. If drone bothers you dont get it, I dont even listen to the radio anymore, the sound from exhaust is far better. Also another plus is, the wife said it's to loud and wont drive it, plus, plus. Directions are wrong on cut location so measure from the center of the exaust clamp before the resonator and not where the direction picture shows, it will save time re-cutting behind the resonator due to incorrectly measuring from the picture shown.

        5 2018 GT - 423Coyote Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour


        2018 mustang non active exhaust, still has the stock mufflers. The xpipe sounds amazing noticeably louder in the higher rpm ranges but not unbearable. Cold starts are a little louder overall not a bad purchase at all.

        Real Delete

        Great fit and ease of installation, even without a lift! Sounded pretty good with the stock mufflers, however we went with the Pro Series Muffler deletes and it sounds awesome! Only took a couple hours to install!

        SR Performance X-Pipe

        Great product but plan on taking it to a local muffler shop to have it welded. I don’t feel that it was well disclosed that this is a 2.5” to 2.5” fitting. It does come with clamps you can splice clamp but I feel better now that it is welded. Great sound once installed though and only an extra $40 to have it welded.

        Absolutely Worth it!

        Took it to my local shop and they welded it for $100. I would recommend getting it welded. It sounds better from what I have heard when it’s welded because you don’t run the risk of an exhaust leak. All in all this x pipe is 100 worth it.

        OH MY WOW!

        Seriously, I turn heads ALL the time now. The car looked and sounded great before, but NOW this thing begs for attention. It's definitely very loud on a cold start, but quiets to a modest rumble quickly after. Driving it in Sport and Sport mode (non-active exhaust) and this thing screams. I am OBSESSED with the sound.

      Can the 409 stainless be confirmed? I saw on other sites this was being advertised as aluminized steel.

      • I am not sure which other site this x-pipe was advertised as aluminized steel, however, American Muscle is the exclusive dealer for SR Performance and they are indeed constructed of T409.

      Just installed this on my 18 GT. My mufflers are not level like they were before and I feel like a made perfect cuts. It doesn't look bad, but I want my 4 tips to be in-line with each other and not slanted. How do i fix that? 18 GT with active exhaust

      • After installing the SR Performance Cut and Clamp Resonator Delete X-Pipe you should loosen all clamps in your exhaust, align the pipes and mufflers, and with a friend holding the pipes in place, re-tighten all clamps. This will allow you to ensure all pipes, and your tips, are perfectly aligned.

      What is the weight of the x-pipe. I was told the stock resonator weighs about 15 pounds. I was wondering what the savings in weight might be.

      So if as some have said and this x pipe has the same diameter as your stock pipe, how do you attach it to the cat pipes? I don't want to weld it as I want to do it myself. Do I need to get extra parts? What do I need, where can I get them? Thanks

      • Hi, you will use the supplied exhaust clamps to secure the resonator delete pipe onto factory cat back, and use the factory exhaust clamps to connect this SR Performance Cut and Clamp Resonator Delete X-Pipe to the mid pipe.
