      Hey, everybody. I'm Justin with And this is my quick review of the BBK three inch long tube header adapter mid-pipe, available in either catted or off road configurations fitting your BBK header equipped 2015 and up GT. So drilling down who this kit is going to be for is actually pretty simple, guys. This mid-pipe is going to be for anybody who is either planning on purchasing or already purchased a set of BBK long tube headers, and needs the mid-pipe to complete the package. Now most aftermarket header companies will actually include the mid-pipe along with the header in one complete package. But what BBK has done is actually split this thing into two categories. You have the long tube itself along with the mid-pipe. And that's because BBK gives you so many options when it comes to choosing the right header for your setup. For instance, you're going to be looking at a ceramic versus a chrome option. A one and three-quarter versus a one and seven-eighths inch option. And then finally, a catted versus an off road option. I like this because it allows you to essentially build or create your perfect long tube setup, and still have it be one of the most affordable on the site. More on the price later, but let's first talk about the specifics of this kit. Again, guys, you do have two options when picking up this mid-pipe from BBK. We do have a catted version shown here. Going to include these two high flow cats. Will add a little bit more to the final price tag. In addition to that, they do of course, offer your off road version here. No cats anywhere to be found, and this is typically going to yield the biggest power and sound gains. Both options are going to be constructed from three inch mandrel bent aluminized steel tubing. Both options will include the two and a half inch factory style connect here, which will work with your factory exhaust in addition to most aftermarket catbacks. Along with that, BBK has included two pre-welded O2 bungs, in addition to the flanges and clamps needed for the installation. So the catted version will be the more expensive of the two, coming in around the $400 mark. And that's pretty typical whenever you compare a catted version to an off road version. Now the catted version will include these two high flow cats and will be slightly more appealing to those of you with stricter emissions rules. But as always, check with your local laws before ordering. Just some quick math here, guys. Again, the catted version around the $400 mark. You add in BBK's long tube headers, which range anywhere from $500 to $600. And you can essentially piece together your own catted long tube setup for around the $1000 mark. Maybe even a little south, which is by far and away going to be your most affordable option here at AM. The off road version, on the other hand, is going to be about half the price of the catted version. Just north of the $200 range, and will bring your all in total price for a long tube setup to just north of the $700 mark. Which should fit nicely into just about anybody's budget when it comes to shopping for long tubes. Now with all that said, guys, the quality of the BBK headers might not be as nice as some of your other options here on the site. And that's more me nitpicking material versus quality of the build. Now for instance, BBK utilizes a mild steel header along with an aluminized steel mid-pipe. Whereas most, if not all of your other options on the site will utilize some sort of 304 grade stainless steel throughout, which is just a superior metal. Really not going to affect your performance per se, but it is worth pointing out. Materials aside, the construction is very solid with the BBK headers. A nice mix of machine and hand welding, they're all pressure tested for a leak free operation. And they're all made in the USA. Since you'll most likely be installing the mid-pipe along with your BBK long tube headers, figure a full three out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. As long tube header installs are typically going to be a chore. You're going to want to leave yourself at least a full day in the garage, maybe two to get this one done. So set aside a weekend. Make sure you have a solid set of tools on hand. But if all this sounds like it's going to be a little too much of a hassle for you, don't be afraid to leave this one up to your local shop. So to wrap this one up, guys, if you plan on getting a set of BBK long tube headers for your Coyote powered S550 GT, you're going to need one of these mid-pipes to complete the package. This Mid Pipe adapter along with BBK Long Tube Headers will allow you the option of installing a factory catback, a BBK 2.5" catback or any other brand of 2.5" aftermarket catback on your S550 GT.
