      Overall Performance Increased. When adding a set of BBK Long Tube Headers to your 3.7L S550 Mustang, you will require the use of a Shorty Mid-Pipe for proper installation. BBK developed this Catted H-Pipe to match up perfectly with their Long Tube Headers and a stock or aftermarket catback system utilizing the factory connection. This H-Pipe will improve your exhaust flow to provide an increase in horsepower and torque. Not only will this Mid Pipe increase your overall performance, but it will add an aggressive sound to your exhaust with its "H" pipe design.

      Durable Construction. BBK manufacturers this Catted H-Pipe from quality free-flowing 2.5" diameter aluminized tubing for superior strength and corrosion resistance. This H-Pipe features smooth mandrel bends throughout the entire piping, to improve exhaust flow for more power and better performance.

      High Flow Catalytic Converters. This BBK Performance H-Pipe features a pair of high flow catalytic converters. They will provide a significant improvement in exhaust flow, over the restrictive factory cats, and an increase in horsepower and torque.

      Application. This BBK Shorty Catted H-Pipe is specifically designed to fit the 2015 to 2017 3.7L V6 Mustangs equipped with BBK Long Tube Headers.

        5 2015 V6 - AndrewH Installation Time: Afternoon

        Not as hard as everyone says

        Everywhere I looked online I saw people saying how hard these headers and mid pipe were to install. Me and a friend did it in about 3 hours. We could've done it faster if we hadn't had to wait for the stock manifolds and cats to cool off. Just soak all nuts and bolts with penetrating oil the day before you install and make sure your car is completely cool before starting.

        Bad experience all around

        The pipes hooking up to the resonator didn't line up very well so I had to force the clamps to fit, it didn't come with the right o2 extensions for the back, then 2 months after installing I started getting a rattling sound from under the car, found that a piece of the passenger side cat had broken off and was bouncing around in there, had to unmount it to get it the piece out, this is unacceptable for a part I spend good money on.

        I don’t know if they sent me a pair that had been sitting around a while but, I have like a lot of rust all inside the pipe. For the money should have been cleaned up better...

        5 2015 V6 - KlarenceG Installation Time: Afternoon

        Great mod but missing something

        It took about 4 hours for the removal of the OEM and install of the headers and h-pipe. Pro tip, lube the OEM flange bolts the night before. We had to use a breaker bar on 3 out of the 4 flange bolts. Also, I forgot to mention in my long tube header review that if you own a 2015-2017 V6, GET THE O2 SENSOR EXTENDERS. The ones that come with the kit are for the 11-14 V6's. They're 8 pin connectors, where ours are 6 pin. Like tried and true fashion, after installation we started the car with the OEM cat-back disconnected. It sounded AMAZING. Although, once I connected the factory cat-back, that's where I noticed a difference in sound. It became raspier in the upper end of the rpm range. Not even 2 days after the install, I ended up buying a different cat-back system. It's on its way as I type this. Other than that, upon start up no check engine lights. 400 kilometers in and still no check engine light. I'll have to re-tighten everything at 700 clicks. 10/10 would recommend.

        Perfect fit

        I installed the non-catted h-pipe with their long tube headers and a set of Pypes mufflers... my previous three Mustangs were V8's... the V6 will never sound like one. I replaced the non-catted with this catted version to tone down the raspy loudness... now it's loud without a ton of raspiness. Easy to install!!

        noise not speed

        Do not buy this expecting your 0-60 time to increase. My car got slower with the tune, it feels as though i picked up some high end gains, but low end gains are garbage. these are of course paired with the B.B.K long tube headers. no check engine light so that was nice, had to tune it after install. The B.A.M.A tune could be garbage and not necessarily this product. Sounds great a lot louder in high rpm range

      I have 2017 v6 stang, running flowmaster scavenger xpipe and the flowmaster outlaw axle backs. Would this replace my xpipe? Also how will this effect sound, right now it sounds amazing and I don't want to loose the sound.

      • The BBK Shorty Catted H-Pipe is simply an adapter pipe to properly fit your long tube headers with your mid pipe. Typically the adapter pipes are simply smaller piping. in this case BBK happens to design their adapter pipe as an h-pipe for the V6. So, this will install to your Flowmaster X pipe, and you will effectively have the h-pipe and the x-pipe at the same time.

      Will this work with the borla atak cat back exhaust?

      i have a v6 2015 mustang i have a long tube BBK with Xpipe but i removed the catalytic converter and i put it on dynoo for tuning , so there is no check ingine , i think it well not pass the emmision in ny , so i'm thinking to buy the Hpipe with the long tube that i have because it have a catalytc converter is this well solve the problem ???

      I see in a previous question that this doesn’t delete the resonator. Just to be clear, does it fit with the stock resonator, if I’m sill stock mid pipes?

      • Yes, this will be able to be installed directly into your stock mid pipe and some other mid pipes that have 2.5 inch piping.
