Plug and Play. When installing a set of long tube headers on your GT or V6, you may notice the factory oxygen wire harnesses are short and won't the front (upstream) o2 sensors. The perfect solution to fix that issue is the O2 Wire Harness Extension Kit from BBK Performance. These 12 inch long harnesses feature OEM factory connectors that will provide an easy plug and play install to bridge the gap and allow you to reconnect your sensors. If you don't reconnect your sensors, your engine's computer will not be able to monitor if your fuel mixture is burning rich or lean.

Application. This set of two 12 inch BBK Performance O2 Sensor Extensions are designed to extend the front (upstream) O2 sensor harnesses on the 2015 to 2017 GT and V6 Mustangs.

Please Note. O2 Sensors are not included with these extensions.

    Ask a Question

    Fit ecoboost?

    AustinP

    • Due to the position of the downpipe instead of having headers on the naturally aspirated motors, the O2 extensions are not intended for use on a Ecoboost Mustang.

These are labeled as a front pair, but I already have a pair installed on my front sensors, and they work fine. My question is would they work to extend my back sensors as well?

    Devin

    • The BBK O2 Wire Harness Extension Kit would only work for the Front, as the connectors will be different between the front and rear O2 sensors.

I have the 2015 Mustang GT. It's stock, but I'd like to add the Borla ATAK exhaust. Will I still need this extension?

    MattR

    • The BBK O2 Wire Harness Extension Kit - Front Pair will only be needed when installing long tube headers. These are not required for the Borla Atak Exhaust.

      Expected

It does what you’d expect it to do. No surprises. I only needed the passenger side one for my stainless works headers though. Overall simple easy to use and gets the job done

      Doesn’t fit 2017

After trying 6 different sets from many different places we came to the conclusion that these don’t fit 2017 GTs or my car is wrong. Either way, they were a good looking harness, just not what they said they were.

      Extensions

Fit as they should. Some guys say you can get by stretching the stock wires. Not so on my car, glad I ordered them.

      Great so far

Easy install. Perfect fit. Make sure you get them put of the way of your headers so that they don't melt.

      Did What I Needed

Bought this because the factory length O2 sensors didn't reach for the XForce Headerback system, these extended it perfectly.

      Needed for Long Tubes

Don't forget these if you're doing long tubes. For the X force kit, you'll only need the passenger side.

      Bbk O2 sensor extensions

I was told that these were needed for the ford racing cat back exhaust, after taking my car to the dealer for the install I was informed that they were not need because I wasn't installing headers or relocating the O2 sensors. So far I have no engine lights or warnings and the car seems fine without them, I just wish that I hadn't spent 50 bucks that I didn't have to.
