"Speaker: The SR Performance Strut Tower Brace in black will be a great choice for the non-performance pack SF50GT and Ecoboost owners out there who are after an affordable strut tower option and don't wanna mess with the cal extension that does come along with the Ford performance option which is priced in the same ballpark. On the other hand, if you do have one of those performance-pack cars and you just simply wanna switch up the look of that factory brace, that would be a great option for you as well. Now speaking of price, this will land you just south of 200 bucks in regard to total investment and will get a simple one of three wrenches on the difficulty meter from me when it does come time to talk about the installation. So a strut tower brace is one of those easy and affordable ways to make a subtle impact on your handling helping to stiffen up the front end slightly, take some of the roll out of the car when cornering very hard. Now I do say subtle because in the grand spectrum of handling parts, I would argue that there are gonna be other mods out there that will make a bigger impact to your handling performance, such as your sway bars, your springs, or even tires. But 99% of the time a strut tower brace like this will be very affordable, along with being extremely easy to install, both of which apply to the SR option here. Now traditionally, SR is going to be one of your more budget-friendly or value-friendly brands here on the site, and sure that is the case with this particular strut tower brace, but that doesn't mean the construction or quality has suffered at all. In fact, that is quite the opposite. SR has incorporated aircraft-grade 41-30 Chromoly steel for the overall construction here, in addition to using one inch tubular parallel beam design. They have also incorporated mild steel plating to the bottom portion of the brace itself, this part right here, guys. And that's just to further help reduce any flex before finishing everything off in this textured matte black powder coat, which I personally think flows under the hood of the S550 rather well. Now, this is a great time to point out guys that SR does offer the same exact brace but in a brightly polished finish for the owners out there who might prefer a little bit more flash under the hood. You can find that on the site, it'll cost you a little bit more than the black option we have here. Now another question I see on the site concerning the SR performance brace here is that will this thing fit my 2015 V6 Mustang? And unfortunately, it will not, at least as it sits right now, and that's just due to the intake manifold on these cars sitting a little bit higher than the GT or the Ecoboost as 550 cars. Now, sure it might be possible to add additional spacing or spacers underneath this thing that clearl the intake manifold, but the moral of the story is, again, as it sits right now, this product will not fit the 2015 and new V6 Mustang. But let's quickly touch on the installation with the SR option, and as I mentioned earlier guys, this one is pretty much as straightforward as they come. So expect a rather simple one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter here. Maybe 30 minutes of your time to get this bar in place. Two lines well, if you have a socket set, you're gonna be able to install this thing. First off, you're gonna wanna pump that hood and remove the battery cover trim panel that gives access to the necessary studs. At this point, you can remove the four nuts off of the upper strut mount studs. Now, SR does include a few spacers that will be used. However, guys, the number of spacers that will be used will differ depending on whether or not your car is a performance pack model, so just make sure you reference those included instructions to determine how many spacers you need for your application. With the spacers in place, set the SR strut tower brace on the studs, tighten down the four included nuts and your installation is complete. So to wrap this one up guys, if you're looking for a no-nonsense, affordable strut tower brace option to help you tighten up the front end a little bit and add some under hood appearance. You'll wanna check out the SR performance option in black right here at americanmuscle.com."

It was very easy to install into the car. It took me about 25-30 minutes. You can feel the difference especially on the highway or on sharp turns. Would recommend for a quick easy boost to handling.Helpful (0)

Easy Peasy installation
Still early to really tell a difference but hopefully, it will tighten up the front of my 2019 Ecoboost Convertible Mustang. I've installed similar type braces over the years on classic Mustangs (Export Brace and Monte Carlo Bars). They always seem to stiffen up the handling and hoping this will too.Helpful (0)

Easy install and great look
Installing the bar was fairly straightforward. No modifications needed to be done but the battery cable had to be pulled fairly hard to go over the bar (and wouldn't fit under it). Great looking entry level bar for the S550.Helpful (0)

SR Performance Review
The SR Performance strut tower brace was packed very nicely. Everything was nicely packaged and was not loose sliding around. The instructions was very informative and the brace fit perfectly. It's a great addition for anyone who wants to add some flare and stiffness under the hood. Its very heavy duty and very well built. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a strut tower brace. And it's under 100 buck to boot. Best bang for the buck in my book.Helpful (1)
Adding weight to the front of my ecoboost mustang is a small concern. What is the weight of this strut tower brace? I'm considering the aluminum gt350R brace because of this .
The SR Performance Strut Tower Brace will weigh in at 11 lbs.
Will this block my access to my dip stick on my ecoboost? I can’t quite tell from the images.
No, this will not block access to your dip stick.
Will this fit a 2015 gt with the roush supercharger
This will not fit with a Roush supercharger.
Does this fit RHD models?
We have not tested the SR Performance Strut Tower Brace on any RHD models, as we only have access to LHD models in the US. We do expect this to fit RHD models, however we are unable to confirm if they will due to a lack of test vehicles at our location.
Will this work with a K N Cold Air Intake on my 2019 Mustang GT 5.0?
This has not been tested for fitment with any brand supercharger and unfortunately, we would not be able to confirm fitment.
We recommend the use of a torque wrench for this installation.
It could make a difference in the long run, especially dependent on how hard you drive your vehicle. I would suggest taking the time to go back in there and correct this. Better safe than sorry!
Yes, this will work with the Roush Cold Air Intake.
No, this is designed for the GT and EcoBoost specifically. We currently do not offer any strut tower braces that would fit the V6.
This would not work with a Whipple no.
It would be much easier with the brace removed but can be done with the brace still installed.
Unfortunately, this brace was designed to work with the factory manifold and will not clear the Boss 302 intake manifold upgrade.
Unfortunately, this brace was designed to work with the stock manifold and would not provide enough clearance for the GT350 intake manifold.
