Description
Performance Chambered Muffler. The Flowmaster Super 40 Series Offset/Offset Oval Muffler, featuring 2.25-inch inlet and outlet diameters, is engineered to produce a deep, aggressive exhaust note while enhancing exhaust flow and overall performance. It is ideal for street and strip applications, especially suited for forced induction and high horsepower vehicles seeking a balance of sound and power.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from durable 16 gauge aluminized steel, this muffler features fully MIG welded seams to ensure strength and longevity. Its black high-temperature paint finish offers corrosion resistance and a sleek appearance, complemented by an oval body shape designed to optimize exhaust flow and minimize interior resonance.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with slip-fit inlet and outlet connections allowing for clamp-on or weld-on mounting. Typically, no drilling is required; however, new hangers are necessary as none are included with the muffler.
Application. This muffler fits a broad range of 4- and 6-cylinder engines, including classic muscle cars, late model muscle cars, street rods, street/strip vehicles, and trucks or SUVs. It has a universal fit; some adaptation may be required during installation.
