Description
Fire Retardant Safety. The RaceQuip 6-inch tall fire retardant shifter boot with mounted base plate in black provides essential protection by creating a fire barrier between the transmission tunnel and the driver’s compartment. This barrier is crucial for motorsport and high-performance applications, enhancing driver safety by preventing flames from entering the driver area through the shifter opening.
Construction and Appearance. Made from two layers of Banox FR3 fire retardant material, the boot ensures reliable flame resistance. The pre-drilled aluminum mounting frame, measuring 7.5 by 5.5 inches, is finished in black and designed to securely snap the boot into place. A Velcro top closure adds convenience for easy installation and removal, combining durability with functional design.
Installation. The mounting base is pre-drilled for straightforward installation requiring minimal effort. Basic hardware and minor adaptations allow secure fitment without extensive modification or fabrication.
