Best V6 Appearance Mod
If you own a V6 and you're not ready to invest in a special edition Mustang, such as a Boss, Bullitt, Roush, Saleen or Shelby, then this is the best modification you can make to improve the looks of your V6 Mustang. Its not cheap, but certainly less expensive than changing the entire front end. It completely changes the look of your 'Stang, giving it a much lower, more aggressive appearance.
The mod is easy: simply drill a few holes in the lower front facia, and attach with the included push pins. I was finished in less than one hour. Also, the color was a perfect match. You can remove the factory, black rubber trim or not. Mine was in such poor condition, I took it off. Once you attach the new chin guard it won't show either way.
Installation is quicker with the included push pins, but I don't like them, so I used 1/4"-20 x 3/4" stainless steel screws and lock nuts to attach the chin spoiler. It wasn't that difficult to do, and I feel better knowing it won't ever come loose.
Warning: Once installed, you have to remember not to park too close to raised curbs. I scraped the bottom of my new chin spoiler once already, but it won't happen again! The spoiler held up just fine, and there wasn't any permanent damage.
