    Review & Install Video

Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and I’m taking a closer look at the unpainted chin spoiler from CDC, fitting all 05-09 V6 Mustangs. Taking a closer look at the construction you’ll notice that CDC went with a very rugged and injection moulded urethane, which is a huge plus for a part such as this. That’s because being so low to the ground, it’s inevitable that you’re going to catch a rock, a stick or other kind of road debris that can really test the strength of any chin spoiler. Urethane is without a doubt one of the best materials you can use with regards to resisting damage, and overall durability. Again this chin spoiler is unpainted so you do have a couple of options, you can always have the spoiler painted to match your ride which will give it a more matched appearance, or you can just choose to leave the spoiler unpainted which actually looks really good, matching those factory side rocker perfectly. Install time on the chin spoiler really isn’t all that bad, of course it will help to get the front end of the car up in the air slightly, just to give yourself a little bit more room to work. You will have to drill a few holes underneath the front bumper, but it’s actually pretty easy if you use the holes already present in the chin spoiler as your template. Once you get those holes drilled go ahead and use the supplied push pin fasteners to get the chin spoiler installed. That’s it, getting everything installed should only take you about an hour. So if you’re looking to give the front end of your V6 a dramatically more aggressive appearance, then be sure to check out CDC’s unpainted front chin spoiler right here at AmericanMuscle.com

    Painted Mustang V6 Chin Spoiler

Great Custom Looks. Chin spoilers are one of the hottest items we sell at AmericanMuscle, so don't get left behind when you want to make one of the most distinguishing mods on your 2005 to 2009 S197 V6 Mustang. This Mustang chin spoiler comes unpainted so you can customize it however you like - it is also available pre-painted in factory colors.

Rugged Construction. Made of tough high pressure, injection molded urethane, this chin spoiler is made to take the bumps and bruises of everyday driving.

Simple Installation. Installation is a snap with just a few plastic push pin fasteners and acrylic bonding tape, you'll be back on the road in no time at all.

Application. This CDC Front Chin Spoiler is designed to be a perfect fit on the 2005 to 2009 V6 Mustangs, including the Coupe and Convertible models.

Technical Note. AmericanMuscle recommends professional installation of all body parts. We also recommended test fitting these products before they are painted.

I have an 08 and it has the small factory rubber one on with push pins will I still need to drill new holes?

    hameens197

    • I have this one on my 08. I removed the old factory one and used the new one as a template to drill holes. The push pins did not hold very well so I replaced them with bolts, washers and nylock nuts. no problems anymore

Chin Spoilers- is part number 11033-00 and 11033 the same part, difference one is prepainted and one is not painted....?? Is that correct??? Thanks Dennis

    DennisF

    • This would be correct the CDC Chin Spoiler will be unpainted and the SpeedForm Mustang V6 Chin Spoiler part number 11033 will be painted.

Any clearance issues? I have a 1.25" drop and i drive my car to school every day, where there are speed bumps, wanted to make sure there wont be issues

    NickMorris13

    • You will be fine with regard to speed bumps. I will caution you though...beware of parking blocks and parking up against concrete curbs etc. Make sure to stop well short of them to avoid dragging across the top of them. (experience talking here) Also beware of steep driveway approaches. But the look of the car will be much better!

Can you install it with the matte black primer only? I want to give my pony a 'stealth' sort of look and the matte black would be perfect. Can I simply install it, or should I put a sealant on it or something? and if I do have to put something else on the spoiler, what would that be, and is that something I can do myself? Thank you for your help!!

    TimGuggenheim

    • It comes molded in a matte black finish so if that is the look you are going for no need to primer or paint. That is how I installed mine over a year ago and it still looks like the day I received it.

Exactly what color is this spoiler when it's unpainted?

    Capt

    • The chin spoiler is an unpainted matte black color. It is the same color as the side skirts under the doors.

      Looks great

Looks great! I bought the car used and it had a generic strip of "cut to size" chin spoiler attached with cable ties - this custom chin spoiler looks much more professional.

      CDC V6 chin spoiler

I really like the V6 CDC chin spoiler looks good and short enough it does not hit every time I go out a steep driveway.

      Really Good

Overall, it is a great chin spoiler for the price. Was decently easy to install. Definitely gives the car a more aggressive look. Also, a pretty durable material.

      ASTHETICS FOR LIFE

Product is really good. Although i was iffy at first about drilliing into my bumper once i finally did i had no regrets. The chin spoiler makes the car stand out and makes the front look lower. Watch out when you park though it can and will scrape on the cement stoppers or curbs.

Would recommend using 3M to secure it better. Did it right away, so don't know how well the clips would hold by themselves. Fit very nice though!

      CDC chin spoiler

It went on quickly and easier than I thought it would. Loved it till a raccoon walked out in front of the car and took it off, but it was durable when it came to scraping.

Installation was easy and it looks great. Matches well with OEM side molding and SpeedForm hood deflector. I followed the directions and installed the chin spoiler by myself in less than an hour.

      Great Choice

Could not be happier. Had to remove the original chin that was just 3 inches off ground and made driving in michigan very difficult. New one looks great and finally got it painted and installed.
