      Review & Installation Video

Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and I’m taking a closer look at the unpainted chin spoiler from CDC, fitting all 05-09 V6 Mustangs. Taking a closer look at the construction you’ll notice that CDC went with a very rugged and injection moulded urethane, which is a huge plus for a part such as this. That’s because being so low to the ground, it’s inevitable that you’re going to catch a rock, a stick or other kind of road debris that can really test the strength of any chin spoiler. Urethane is without a doubt one of the best materials you can use with regards to resisting damage, and overall durability. Again this chin spoiler is unpainted so you do have a couple of options, you can always have the spoiler painted to match your ride which will give it a more matched appearance, or you can just choose to leave the spoiler unpainted which actually looks really good, matching those factory side rocker perfectly. Install time on the chin spoiler really isn’t all that bad, of course it will help to get the front end of the car up in the air slightly, just to give yourself a little bit more room to work. You will have to drill a few holes underneath the front bumper, but it’s actually pretty easy if you use the holes already present in the chin spoiler as your template. Once you get those holes drilled go ahead and use the supplied push pin fasteners to get the chin spoiler installed. That’s it, getting everything installed should only take you about an hour. So if you’re looking to give the front end of your V6 a dramatically more aggressive appearance, then be sure to check out CDC’s unpainted front chin spoiler right here at AmericanMuscle.com

        Great product!

It looks amazing. Not too big, not too small. Definitely not as ricey as the other chin spoilers for the v6. I love the subtlety of design and how big of an impact it makes. Great price too.

        06 v6

Awsome product defiantly recommend for that enhanced look. Used 1/4inch bolts instead of the plastic plugs. Used my garages lift for installation. About 15 minutes tops

        5 2007 V6 - Kaus Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Amazing product!

This product is just amazing! The only downside is that the holes on the Chin spoiler didn't match my bumper's pre drilled holes but it takes like 10 minutes to drill new holes so it's not bad at all! I used nuts, bolts and washers instead of the push pins provided as I'm low to the ground and I didn't want the chin spoiler to fall if I scraped. It totally completes the look of your front end and it's really sturdy! Another amazing product from American muscle and I definitely recommend it!!

        CDC Chin Spoiler

Really adds a nice look to the front end of this car. Very easy to install and the directions were clear and concise. Left mine in the unpainted version and looks like a factory piece. Doesn't sent too low that you have worry about scraping it on anything.

        5 2005 V6 - 05stang Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        nice fit

Bought this to replace a mmd chin spoiler that didn't last a year. Fit was dead on. I did not used the push pins that came with it but used nuts and bolts for a more secure fit. I was going to take bumper off to mount but did it with it still on car. Bolted both side mounts first and then taped it to bumper while it drilled holes into bumper for correct fit. Not as aggressive as the mmd one was but still improves the look of the front of my car, and seems to be a much better part for less money.

        5 2007 V6 - GoRedSox

        Great Chin Spoiler

This chin spoiler is a great fit for my 07 Mustang V6 Convertible and looks great on the car. It matches nicely and doesn't look out of place with the factory black plastic rocker panel molding. Very easy to install, it took about an 1-1.5 hours including set up and clean up. I would recommend using 1/4" 3M double sided tape to hold it in place if you're going to install it alone. Tape is not included with the kit.

        5 2005 V6 - PonyPhil Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Not afraid of high driveways

ABS holds up brilliant to road rash. Easy installation but would suggest rivets or bolts in addition to the double sides 3m tape for sercure fitment.

I have an 08 and it has the small factory rubber one on with push pins will I still need to drill new holes?

      • I have this one on my 08. I removed the old factory one and used the new one as a template to drill holes. The push pins did not hold very well so I replaced them with bolts, washers and nylock nuts. no problems anymore

Any clearance issues? I have a 1.25" drop and i drive my car to school every day, where there are speed bumps, wanted to make sure there wont be issues

      • You will be fine with regard to speed bumps. I will caution you though...beware of parking blocks and parking up against concrete curbs etc. Make sure to stop well short of them to avoid dragging across the top of them. (experience talking here) Also beware of steep driveway approaches. But the look of the car will be much better!

Can you install it with the matte black primer only? I want to give my pony a 'stealth' sort of look and the matte black would be perfect.
