How to Install MMD ABS Rear Window Louvers (05-14 Coupe) on your Ford Mustang

Before beginning, be sure to thoroughly clean the rear window to remove dirt and any other debris that may prevent the tape to bond properly.

Wipe down the outer edge of the rear window with the supplied alcohol prep pads where the louver brackets will adhere. Once dry, follow with the supplied 3M Adhesion Promoter. 

Install the supplied brackets onto the louver loosely as shown, do not fully tighten the nuts yet. Make sure install the brackets so the louver completely covers them when installed on the window.

Open the trunk before installing louvers. Pull the backing from the 3M tape on the brackets and place the louvers over the rear window (Do not let the tape adhere to the window yet). Line up the corners of the louver with the upper corner of the rear window as shown.

Once the louvers are in the proper position, firmly press down to fully seat the adhesive tape on the brackets. Using an 8mm socket and ¼” drive, tighten the nuts to secure the louvers to the brackets. Do not over tighten the nuts, just past snug is enough.

Cleaning: To clean your rear window, simply remove the 8mm nuts/washers and remove the louver from the vehicle.
