I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and we’re here with this, our appearance bolt on build up, for all 05-09 V6 Mustangs. The objective with this pack was to take our average looking V6, to the next level and beyond. We bolted on and installed over 20 different appearance parts, ranging from some smoked lighting from Raxiom, to AmericanMuscle Graphics tint vinyl, also a few different parts from MMD, like their black Billet aluminum fuel door, and their rear deck lid panel just to name a few. However, we think there are a couple of parts that really set the tone for our build, so let’s get into them. First we’ve got these MMD retro style mirrors which honestly are a night and day difference versus your old factory mirrors. As you can see we did decide to leave these unpainted, showing off that matte black finish, which really breaks up our competition orange paint job, and flows nicely with some of our other black accents on the car. There is a little bit of work getting these installed, you do have to transfer over your factory motors, and your wiring harness from your old mirrors, onto your new units. Honestly it’s just a couple of nuts and bolts, only took us an hour or two. Moving on to another part from MMD which really made our build, these Eleanor style pre-painted louvers. Any Mustang fan should know the name Eleanor pretty well, and I for one really dig the look these louvers give to any Mustang, whether it’s a V6, a GT, or certain silver 1967 GT500. That pre painted convenience is pretty good as well, you basically get them out of the box, prep the area, and slap them on, it’s just that easy. No more waiting, no more phone calls to your paint guy, and best of all, a perfect color match every time. Checking out the back of the car here you’ll notice a little forward thinking from Raxiom, I’m referring to these smoked coyote tail lights which you might have guessed are inspired from the 11 and 12 coyote Mustangs, and honestly they look right at home here on our S197 here as well. Of course, going with that smoked look was pretty much a no brainer considering all the black accents on our build, however what you won’t notice until you see these tail lights in action is this. That’s right, we’ve added the very cool sequential plug and play tail light kit as well, which is really going to crank up that cool factor. Alright, when it finally came time for new wheels and tires we decided to go big, literally. We ditched those puny 16” factory wheels in favor of these 18” staggered gloss black GT500 style wheels, along with some new rubber from Sumitomo. This wheel and tire package could have single handedly changed the entire attitude of our V6, on their own, but along with some of our other appearance mods that we’ve added today, well, I’m sure you can see the results speak for themselves. So the goal of this bolt on build up is simple in theory, but not always that easy to execute. You can’t just slap a bunch of random appearance parts on your V6 and expect it to look great. That’s why every part used with our build was well thought out and carefully selected, to help us achieve that look that blends a little bit of retro, with some of that modern in your face styling, and frankly we’re happy with the results. So that wraps up our appearance bolt on build up with our 05 V6 here, be sure to check out some of our other 05-09 V6 bolt on build ups, where we address our handling, and improve our acceleration and overall performance.

It looks amazing. Not too big, not too small. Definitely not as ricey as the other chin spoilers for the v6. I love the subtlety of design and how big of an impact it makes. Great price too.Helpful (1)

Awsome product defiantly recommend for that enhanced look. Used 1/4inch bolts instead of the plastic plugs. Used my garages lift for installation. About 15 minutes topsHelpful (1)

This product is just amazing! The only downside is that the holes on the Chin spoiler didn't match my bumper's pre drilled holes but it takes like 10 minutes to drill new holes so it's not bad at all! I used nuts, bolts and washers instead of the push pins provided as I'm low to the ground and I didn't want the chin spoiler to fall if I scraped. It totally completes the look of your front end and it's really sturdy! Another amazing product from American muscle and I definitely recommend it!!Helpful (0)

CDC Chin Spoiler
Really adds a nice look to the front end of this car. Very easy to install and the directions were clear and concise. Left mine in the unpainted version and looks like a factory piece. Doesn't sent too low that you have worry about scraping it on anything.Helpful (1)

Bought this to replace a mmd chin spoiler that didn't last a year. Fit was dead on. I did not used the push pins that came with it but used nuts and bolts for a more secure fit. I was going to take bumper off to mount but did it with it still on car. Bolted both side mounts first and then taped it to bumper while it drilled holes into bumper for correct fit. Not as aggressive as the mmd one was but still improves the look of the front of my car, and seems to be a much better part for less money.Helpful (1)

Great Chin Spoiler
This chin spoiler is a great fit for my 07 Mustang V6 Convertible and looks great on the car. It matches nicely and doesn't look out of place with the factory black plastic rocker panel molding. Very easy to install, it took about an 1-1.5 hours including set up and clean up. I would recommend using 1/4" 3M double sided tape to hold it in place if you're going to install it alone. Tape is not included with the kit.Helpful (1)

Not afraid of high driveways
ABS holds up brilliant to road rash. Easy installation but would suggest rivets or bolts in addition to the double sides 3m tape for sercure fitment.Helpful (0)
I have an 08 and it has the small factory rubber one on with push pins will I still need to drill new holes?
I have this one on my 08. I removed the old factory one and used the new one as a template to drill holes. The push pins did not hold very well so I replaced them with bolts, washers and nylock nuts. no problems anymore
Any clearance issues? I have a 1.25" drop and i drive my car to school every day, where there are speed bumps, wanted to make sure there wont be issues
You will be fine with regard to speed bumps. I will caution you though...beware of parking blocks and parking up against concrete curbs etc. Make sure to stop well short of them to avoid dragging across the top of them. (experience talking here) Also beware of steep driveway approaches. But the look of the car will be much better!
Exactly what color is this spoiler when it's unpainted?
The chin spoiler is an unpainted matte black color. It is the same color as the side skirts under the doors.
Do you guys have this front spoiler in Performance white?
We offer the spoiler in the colors listed on the product page. If the color is not offered as one of the options you see on the product page, the color is not offered at all.
Can you please send me the dementions of the spoiler?
The dimensions are 65.09" x 17.91" x 4" (L x W x H).
You would use a 1/4 inch drill bit to drill the holes needed to install the chin spoiler.
No, the CDC Splitter Upgrade would not be compatible.
This would be correct the CDC Chin Spoiler will be unpainted and the SpeedForm Mustang V6 Chin Spoiler part number 11033 will be painted.
The CDC Splitter Upgrade (05-09 GT), item # 11093, (http://www.americanmuscle.com/cdc-chinspoiler-splitter-0509gt.html) is designed to fit on 2005 to 2009 GT Mustangs with the CDC Classic Chin Spoiler - Unpainted (05-09 GT), item # 11027-00, (http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustang-unpainted-chinspoiler-0509.html). The Splitter Upgrade may not be a direct bolt on to the Chin Spoiler (#11033-00).
It comes molded in a matte black finish so if that is the look you are going for no need to primer or paint. That is how I installed mine over a year ago and it still looks like the day I received it.
