    Review & Installation Video

Hey I’m Justin with, and I’m checking out Raxiom’s chrome and smoked projector headlights, fitting all 94-98 Mustangs. Raxiom is currently the industry leader in producing a wide variety of cool and stylish lighting for your Mustang, all backed by a full 2 year warranty. These lights from Raxiom are definitely for the SN95 owner out there who enjoys more of an aftermarket type of look, these lights have been designed to replace the 2 piece factory lights, using a sleek 1 piece housing available in your choice of either smoked or chrome. Taking a closer look at the smoked option here on our 98 GT, you can see they achieved that aggressive appearance by pairing a black housing with a dark smoked lens. On the other hand the chrome option achieves that bright clean look, by utilizing a chrome housing along with a crystal clear lens. As for that more aftermarket type of look I just mentioned, you can see why: these lights feature a more modern projector style light which besides looking cool, is going to produce a brighter, more focused beam of light. In order to further increase the modern styling, Raxiom has also included some very cool halo accent lighting, which surrounds the projector itself. When the whole package is in action, it definitely gives the front end a very unique look to say the least. These lights do include both 9005 bulbs for your high beams, and H3 bulbs for your low beams, along with the quick splice connectors needed for the install. Speaking of the installation, you will need to wire in the halos and accent lighting to your cars parking lights, either using the supplied quick splice connectors or a soldering iron. Other than that, everything else is completely plug and play, and should only take you about an hour from start to finish. Whether you’re into the bright clean styling of the chrome housing, or the more sinister look of the smoked, one thing is for sure, these lights from Raxiom will alter the look of any SN95 and they can be found right here at

Modern One-piece design. Update the look of your 1994-1998 Mustang with a set of Raxiom One-piece projector headlights. These Smoked Mustang LED Halo Projector Headlights have a sleek stealthy one piece design that blends nicely into the lines of the SN95 Mustangs.

Superior Lighting. The projector lenses light up the road ahead with a bright focused beam of light that not only looks great, but improves your night visibility. The LED Halo's give an exotic flair to your Mustang to set it apart from the rest of the herd.

Full Warranty. Raxiom features an "Industry Leading 2 Year Full Warranty".

DOT Approved. Equipped with 9005 and H3 bulbs for high/low beams this pair of Mustang Headlights are DOT (Department of Transportation) approved for legal street use under compliance # QR1200163.

Application. These Raxiom Smoked LED Halo Projector Headlights are designed to fit the 1994 to 1998 V6, GT, and Cobra model Mustangs.

Are the Smoked lenses California legal

    • The Raxiom Smoked Projector Headlights are US DOT Compliant, however we do not have access to the laws for every state to confirm if these will or will not be legal. We recommend checking with local authorities to see if these will be legal, as they are the most well versed in these matters.

these headlights give the mustang a more aggressive look. very nice and bright. before i installed them i had to cut out some plastic from the radiator support and modify the wiring harnesses to hook up the halo ring and accent lights. its gets real frustrating when trying to fit them into the headlight bucket. the plastic clips are not strong at all (I'm using lock washers and nuts in place of the plastic clips.) but once you get them in, it's all worth it. i have a question to anyone who has these lights, how do you adjust the lights? i dont see any adjusting screw on top or anything.

      Word of Caution

I bought these headlights to be an exact replacement for the headlights I busted on accident while trying to remove from the car. There's a lot of plastic tabs that have to pop in place, pop out of place, etc...that just can't hold up to being removed or reinserted. The wiring on the headlights is pretty novice to do, but actually installing the bulbs is quite another story. Because of how the bulbs are relocated in the lamp, the place alotted to replace bulbs through the radiator support is now unusable, and instead the bulbs must be removed from the vehicle to change bulbs. This is usually only necessary for turn signals on Mustangs of these years. The last problem, and probably the worst is a flaw in the design. The clips which hold the bulbs in place are essentially the same clips which complete the circuit and power the bulb. Hence, if improper bulbs are used, or something in the wiring goes wrong and creates too much heat the actual clip holding the bulb will burn. This causes two problems. A.)The bulb is no longer secured, and B.)There's nothing to complete the circuit. It's an odd design and would have been better off if quick connects would have been used.

      Terrible fit

I understand most aftermarket stuff is a tough fit... but these are over the top for being what i would consider on the pricey end of headlights. I read the reviews and saw that many people had this issue... and still went against it and thus am here to say they were right. The only way they fit and look nice is if they are pointed down giving me barely any visibility. I am telling anyone who reads this... DON'T BE LIKE ME AND BUY THIS with the hopes that it will fit great because its pricey, my $100 2 piece smoked aftermarket fit way better than these do... dont make my mistake.

These head lights do not have two halos in each head light fixture, one halo for each side. The wiring is super easy i just hooked it up to the brown wire be hind the turn signal fixture so that the halos turn on at the same time as my parking lights. These lights are very nice. 1998 Dark green mustang, Zachary Vincent

      Lights are Awesome!

To all of the people who said there are no instructions, maybe you should have looked under the installation tab. There is a link for the installation guide. I'm only 17 and this was an easy install, took me about an hour, fit perfectly and had no problems what so ever. Makes my 94 GT look even better!

      Look awesome, annoying to Install.

Got these as a gift, look incredible on the car. Wiring is easy, but the fit is terrible. Took forever to make lights flush with body. Plastic adjustment nuts CANNOT take much abuse. I'm using regular washers and lock nuts instead.

      Just stay calm

I had the hardest time fitting these lights onto my 98 GT. I accidentally broke the first set because they wouldn't fit onto the brackets correctly. For $200 lights, you would expect them to made of a more durably material. The second set required me to do some pretty decent modifying. I had to trim the housing in several places and then i had to remove the black screw clamps and replace them with washers and nuts. The clamps made the job more difficult. This 1 hour job turned into a weekend job with all the modifying that had to be done. looking for the tools I threw out of frustration took some time too. The only easy part about this job was the wiring. It took me about 5 minutes to wire the halo and inside parking light to the parking light wire. They look great, but it was way to frustrating to install.

      They look sweet, but...

I ordered a new headlight panel when I ordered these because my old one was broken. They came in the mail and looked as sweet as advertised. The rubber on the top as coming off the driver's side, already, but that wasn't a big deal. Before they were installed, one of the vacuum plugs for the adjuster disappeared, which is always nice. I already had it in the shop for fixing the A/C and driver's window, so he wired it up and they wouldn't fit. So, I took it to a body shop for final install and they could barely make them fit. I stuck a small block of wood under the driver's light so that it would view the road. Passenger side I was just adjusting upwards, and it's not working. The bottom snap just came out, and when I tried getting it back in, it broke off. So, until I get new lights, there are small blocks of wood under both lights just so I can drive it with low beams. High beams were fantastic, but low beams I could barely see the road. When adjusting, they just broke.

The adjusters on your headlights certainly should not have broken off while trying to use them. I do see you've already received a different set of headlights to replace these. We would gladly set up a return for a credit on this defective set. Please do give us a call when you have a moment so we can get that taken care of for you!

      Looks great, horrible lighting...

The lights look amazing once installed. They have a very stylish and sleek look. But unfortunately, the lighting is HORRIBLE, they point down and there is no real adjustments that can be made. I have to use the high beams just to see somewhat safely at night. If you take them out and try to align them properly, they look as if they don't fit the car correctly. My opinion, just try to avoid a one piece headlight design on your SN95.

      Poor light and so-so fit

The quality is what you'd expect for the price. Fit towards the fender is so so, would have worked better if the rubber had been of a descent quality. Major issue is the really poor "light image" delivered by the units. The left was disappointing whrreas the right one made me take the whole set off. It's even worse than the lamps to be replaced. Waste of money and time - and hopes!

      Raxiom Headlights

These are some pretty good looking headlights that would really set your car off but if I would have known the trouble I was going to go through with them I would of got some cobra 2 piece headlights instead. The lights look good but that's all I can say, I had to cut out the light housing to make them fit a little less snug then trying to adjust them was a pain, they will only go up so far before they break and upgrading the bulbs did absolutely nothing and I live in the country so there are no streetlights. I now have the 3rd pair on my car and I am still as disappointing as I was with the 1st set. Don't buy these unless you don't drive your car every day or unless you do only city driving.

ok,the first set I recieved was broken, the screw that holds the bulb retainer was broken off in housing.called AM and tthey promptly sent out another that setand went to install and. realized you have to modify radiator support for them to fit.after the mods I got them in and tried to adjust them and had a huge gap between the housing and the bumper, really looked like poo!I am going to send these back for some 2-piece black cobra lights. The one piece design isnt worth the trouble and they look like poo imo.

      No light

The lights point towards the ground, really aggravating and my factory lights were brighter then the Halo on standard, I really think the look is cool, but the standard light is really really LOW, REALLY AGGRAVATED, since I shelled out extra funds, for after market lights such as the HALO, I just feel ripped off, I PAID MORE MONEY FOR HALF AS MUCH LIGHT, I paid for looks, not performance,

      LOOKS AWESOME BUT............

I bought these for my 97 GT. They look awesome on the car BUT they are real hard to install. It took about 2 to 3 hrs for me to install them. Real tight fit and some of the parts, in my opinion, the plastic adjustment brackets are cheaply designed. One of the brackets broke so I had to super glue it back together. There is no way to adjust the bottom adjustment; at least I couldn't find a way. Overall, I am pleased with the way they look on the GT. I would recommend these but keep in mind be very careful adjusting the headlights(easily breakable).
