Quality is Lacking
These are some of the best looking SN95 headlights available. The look absolutely great, I have gotten many compliments on them. Also, the actual plastic lense is clear so at night they do a good job lighting the road up.
Unfortunately, that is the only good thing about them. They are very, very low quality. The housings are made from an extremely cheap and brittle plastic, and they break very easily.
The first pair I had broke on installation. I was carefully pushing the headlight into the car and two of the clips broke. I used the clips off of my OEM headlights and used some epoxy and got them to work. Not ideal.
Within 6 months the weather stripping on the corner signals was falling off of both lights. This really bothered me, and for $150 I expect better. American Muscle contacted me and set up an exchange, which was of course appreciated.
With the second pair I had the exact same issue as before. The clips shatter at the lightest amount of pressure. I am very mechanically inclined and know how to work on cars, and this time I was even anticipating them to be extremely fragile. I once again rigged the headlights in and didn't feel like dealing with another exchange.
Just to give an idea of how brittle the plastic is, I was in a front end collision and after inspecting the damage, there was literally nothing left of the headlights. The housings shattered into thousands of tiny pieces. Now I find myself ordering a third pair of headlights, hoping for better quality, but not expecting it.
Do I recommend you buy these? They are some of the coolest headlights available for our cars, so I want to recommend them, just don't expect the quality to be anywhere near that of OEM parts.
American Muscle, please improve the quality of your headlights. They look awesome, and I wish the quality was as good as how they look.
