I'm guessing this is fitted inside of the inlet hose going into the core, is there are OD measurement on it?

    Bret3

    • The Ford Heater Core Flow Restrictor (79-04 All) will be located in the inlet hose which connects to the core. The measurement of this piece will be the same as the factory measurement as it is a genuine OEM part.

      It works

You never want to do this repair twice!! I installed on a 1st model year 87 that came stock without it. Its definately one of the parts that Ford forgot

      Does it's job

Already had to switch out two heater cores for premature failure. This restrictor helps slow down the flow of coolant to the heater core. Does what it's supposed to do, no issues so far. Recommended for anyone having heater core issues.

      MORE important than you think!

This Heater Core Flow Restrictor was sold for years, in the old Ford Motorsport catalogs... They were used in Ford Police vehicles for many years. What does it do?? It lowers the pressure of the coolant going into the Heater Core. Why do you need one? Have you EVER replaced the heater core on a Fox or SN-95 Mustang? BIG, messy, knuckle busting job!! THIS little part does a lot to SAVE your Heater Core! I've never run without one, and have never had to replace a Heater Core! ;)
