Tow Ring Mounting

Find Center on the Bumper Beam and Mark a Line as shown above.

From the Center Line, Mark another line 5/8 inch parallel to the CL.

Position the Tow Ring with the Ring facing forward and the inside of the leg aligned with the Line marked 5/8 inch from the Center Line. Transfer the Holes to the Bumper Beam.

The Beam should look like the above Picture. Drill the two 7/16 Holes completely through the Bumper Beam. There are Three (3) layers to go through. It is highly recommended that you drill these Holes on a Drill Press. This will ensure all three layers are aligned and straight.

The Radiator Air Deflector needs to be modified next. In the Pictures above and below are the two different types of modifications necessary. For the Tow Ring Mounting Reliefs, use the measurements on the Left to locate the center point for the 1 ¼ inch hole on both sides of the Center Divider. Use the measurements on the Right to mark the Notch that needs to be cut out of the Deflector on both sides of the Center Divider. This will need to be done above and below the bumper beam.

The Hole cut in the Radiator Air Deflector will allow clearance for the upper spacers and the Nut on the bottom of the Bumper Beam.

Find the Vertical Centerline of the Upper Grille. At the Bottom of the Grille, remove the Honeycomb as shown above. The section of Grille to be removed will be ¾ inch tall by 4 Inches wide. Also, behind the Grille, notice the trim piece that is modified as well. This piece also needs to be trimmed to 4 inches wide but only as tall as necessary to leave the top and bottom in place.

Install the Bumper Beam followed by the modified Radiator Air Deflector.

Install the Front Tow Ring using the provided Hardware. Insert the bolts through the Ring, install the Spacers next then, install the Ring Assembly on the Bumper Beam, through the holes cut in the Radiator Air Deflector. Install the Supplied Lock Nuts.
Torque: 35 ft/lb (47.5 N.m)
Complete reassembly in the reverse order of disassembly.
