How to Install TruShield Hidden Snap Tonneau Cover on your F-150

Installation Time

1 hours

Tools Required
  • 3/16” Allen Key
  • Phillips Screwdriver

Contents:
(1) - Tonneau Cover
(2) - Side Rails
(1) - Front Rail
(3) - Cross Bows
(6) - Clamps

(4) - Corner Connector
(1) - Rear Rail

It is recommended that you have an additional person available to help during this installation, parts can be awkward to hold and support by yourself. Block wheels and set parking brake before beginning work. Remove the BLACK (-) negative cable from the battery. Plastic bed liners and plastic bed side trim may need to be trimmed slightly for proper seating of clamps.

Lay the right side rail onto the right side bed rail. Place 3 clamps along the inside of the rail, making sure not to cover the crossbow cut outs. Repeat on the left side. Loosely snug the brackets.

Place the front rail onto the front of the truck. Secure the front rail to both side rails with the corner connector. Insert the phillips screw side into the front bar and the finger knob into each side rail. Tighten down both pieces of hardware. Repeat the same process at the tailgate with the rear rail. Tighten down the 6 side clamps

Install the (3) crossbows into the slots on the side rails. With the arc facing upward. Start by inserting the far end into the slot on the side rail then moving the crossbow to the left or right to drop it into the near side rail. Move the crossbow into position. Repeat for all 3. Connect the front of the tonneau cover to the front rail by pressing the hidden buttons into the front rail.

Starting at the front; fold the sides of the tonneau cover down and snap the hidden clips into the side rails, snap them in and work toward the back of the truck, until the entire length is secured. Then secure the snaps along the rear rail. Check for fitment and make sure everything is tight.
