Description
High-Performance Distributor. The MSD Pro Billet Distributor delivers precise ignition timing for Ford 289/302 engines, enhancing timing accuracy and ignition signal stability across the RPM range. It is designed for use with MSD 6, 7, or 8-series ignition systems, ensuring reliable performance.
Construction and Appearance. Featuring a CNC machined billet aluminum housing and base for strength and reduced weight, the distributor includes an advance plate and weights made from chrome moly steel with a QPQ coating to reduce friction. The polished steel shaft is also QPQ coated and guided by a sealed ball bearing. The housing diameter is 5/8” smaller than stock Ford distributors for a compact fit.
Installation. Installation requires no drilling or major modifications and fits well within the stock distributor location. It can be precisely adjusted to meet engine timing specifications.
Warranty. This product comes with a manufacturer’s limited one-year warranty.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 79-85 V8 Mustangs, providing a compatible upgrade for this model and engine combination.
