Increases Overall Performance. Add even more horsepower and torque to the rear wheels of your 3.7L V6 Pony by eliminating those power robbing catalytic converters with a BBK Off-road X-Pipe. A BBK off-road X-Pipe will significantly improve your pony's exhaust flow to increase overall performance.

Race Car Growl. This free flowing BBK x-pipe for the 3.7L V6 Mustangs not only increases power, but it also adds a crisp raspy, race car growl to the sound of your exhaust with its modern "X" crossover pipe design.

Durable Construction. BBK's X-Pipes use a free-flowing 2-1/2" diameter CNC mandrel bent aluminized steel tubing and a merged X crossover to improve flow. It also features OEM style hangers that attach in the stock locations for a perfect fit.

Application. This BBK Performance Off-road X-Pipe is designed to be a direct bolt-on for the 2011-2014 3.7L V6 Mustangs with either aftermarket short tube headers or the factory manifolds installed. Intended for off-road, track use only, does not include catalytic converters.

Please Note. Stock 2011 V6 Mustangs come stock with a Mid Pipe that resembles both the H-Pipe and X-Pipe designs. This hybrid Mid Pipe was created by Ford to help add additional power and sound to the V6 straight out of the factory. This BBK aftermarket X-Pipe will further help you reach maximum air-flow equaling additional power.

Technical Note: This BBK product is intended for off road use, and is not legal for use in emission restrictive states.

5 Top Rated Questions

Would MPT tune work to turn off the O2 sensor problem?

  • Tunes from MPT can disable rear o2 sensors from triggering a check engine light. If you have or plan to use this BBK Off-Road X-Pipe, we would highly recommend a custom tune to disable the rear sensors.

Can I still install just the xpipe and keep the stock cats? Reason, I lost the catless pipes

  • Yes, you can install this x-pipe reusing the stock catalyticconverters.

Is it guaranteed that my O2 sensor will go off, even if I keep my stock catalytic converters on?

Can you use factory headers with this product?

  • The BBK Off-Road X-Pipe will fit with the stock headers.

I have shorty headers and a bbk x pipe but the person I bought it from welded the x pipe to the stock cats. Where can I buy those cat deletes for the 3.7 not in the combo?

    Loud but wait!

This is extremely loud especially with Roush Axlebacks and BBk headers when first installed. After running them for about 200-300 miles it wasn’t nearly as loud. Do not be turned away by how loud it was at first it gets about 40 quieter after that break in period. Would’ve been an easier install with a lift, but all you really need is some extensions, WD-40, and some good leverage.

Sounds perfect with the Pypes Mid Muffler Cat Back

The performance gains were amazing, you can immediately feel that a bottleneck was removed with the cats off and the exhaust free-flowing throughout the entire RPM range. 10/10 for performance. Now for the sound, I can say it is a only slightly raspy for me, and only when you really, really rev it. At low to mid RPM ranges, it has a deeper growl than I was expecting, and than all the complaining in the reviews lead me to believe. I believe pairing this with the Pypes Mid Muffler Cat back definitely helped keep the tone lower, but while also still letting it get very loud when you want to be heard a throughout the neighborhood. All in all, I couldn't be happier with my setup.

    Don't mix with Magnaflow!

The product itself is so far, so good! However, I have had a Magnaflow Race Series axle back exhaust kit on for about 2 1/2 years and with the BBK Off-Road X Pipe it's not only WAY too loud, but the sound quality is AWFUL. It's loud and blatty and just overall sounds cheap. I ordered a new exhaust kit to hopefully balance out the X Pipe a little bit better.

    Poor bystanders eardrums!

these fit in perfectly to my BBK shorty headers and stock catback. The only thing with these is that they need to be broken in.... they're insanely raspy when you first put them on, but dont worry that will break out of it in about 400 miles. after the 400 mile mark they will deepen and turn into a very throaty and mean sound. If you start to lose appreciation for your car, stand outside or behind it and have someone drive it away from you... just listen to it and youll love it again

    cool product

Came into many problems with the x pipe, 1. dont install it yourself even if you have experience, 2. prepare yourself to reinstall it due to exhaust leaks. 3. there are no gaskets, but overall .. once everything is in the clear the car will sound nice very aggressive . My v6 can spit flames now naturally <3 I'd suggest getting it installed professionally.

    Loud, but super raspy

Loud, but super raspy after 3.2K RPM. Fit was pretty straight forward, make sure you have a lot of Free-All and a long extension for the mid-pipe

Loud and raspy, especially with Borla.

Amazing sound especially with the Borla ATAK catback exhaust. From a cold start it’s pretty d*mn loud, but not too horrible for neighbors to complain. As for giving it gas/throttle, definitely a lot louder and recommend idling out of apartments when first installed late at night. It only took me a week to get used to it and it doesn’t bother me, but when you get to tunnels or cars around you with the exhaust echoing, it sounds pretty nice. Definitely do not recommend speeding at night bc the cops will hear it from farther distances. You will need a tune to delete O2 sensors to prevent engine light. As for installing would recommend lift, but can be done with jacks making it a little harder for movement. All being said, this will definitely give you a louder sound with a deeper tone and will catch people attention in a good way, or scare some people lol. For $250 you can’t beat it. Do NOT get this if you live in Illinois/California since they’re illegal to delete cats, let alone would get you pulled over faster. I’m in Kentucky and have no problems with cops, or emissions testing.

    Loud n' raspy

This is an awesome x pipe if you want your car to be loud and raspy. It keeps the 6 cylinder sound (not trying to sound like an 8) while still sounding good. I have it paired with bbk shorty headers and a gt500 custom muffler setup and I love it! Would recommend

Great product, but with a few flaws

Loved the pipes at firat, then my car started throwing engine codes even after I had it re-tuned. And to top everything off I got stopped by cops 2 times within 24 hours for noise violations. Had to put the stock pipes back on.

    Insane sound!

To start off the sound is crazy. I have this paired with a set of roush axlebacks and it is around 3 times louder id guess. Turns heads everywhere. I can't stress enough that if you think it may be too loud for you it probably is. Also will need a tune for having the cats taken off.
