How To Install a Ford Motorcraft PCV Valve on your 1980-2001 V8 Mustang

Removal Procedure: 

1. Raise and secure hood. 


2. Remove the two vacuum lines from the upper intake tube. Loosen the two band clamps securing the upper intake tube, and then remove it from the engine compartment. 


3. Locate the PCV valve, and remove the vacuum line. Carefully clean around the PCV valve with a shop rag. Using the pliers, give the PCV valve a counterclockwise twist and pull it out of the valve cover. 



Installation Procedure: 

1. Install the new PCV valve into its respective location. 


2. Reconnect the vacuum line to the new PCV valve. 

3. Replace the upper intake tube and tighten the two band clamps that secure it with the flat head screw driver. Reconnect the two vacuum lines to the side of the upper intake tube. 

4. Lower hood and enjoy.
