Protect Your Investment. The most effective way of ensuring long engine life in either a heavily modded racecar or daily driven 'Stang is regular oil changes. And there is no better oil available for your Pony than Royal Purple. Royal Purple is a full synthetic oil that contains a patented additive to reduce engine wear and protect your rings, cylinders, and bearings more than any other. It also sticks to your engine's internals after shutdown to protect your engine upon startup.

Superior Performance. Unlike other oils, Royal Purple continues protecting your engine even at high temperatures, making it a great choice for every Mustang. It lubricates better regardless of temperature, ensuring your Mustang will run right whether you're stuck in a traffic jam or going for FTD. Many Mustang owners even report better throttle response or even horsepower gains with Royal Purple.

Resists Breakdown. Royal Purple is more resistant to breakdown than other oils, meaning you can go longer on an oil change without worrying about engine damage.

Application. This Royal Purple Oil is a 5w30 weight. Check your Mustang's oil cap or owner's manual for the correct weight for your engine.
    • I4 needs 6 quarts for a complete oil change.
    • V6 needs 5-6 quarts for a complete oil change.
    • V8 needs 5-8 quarts for a complete oil change.

Please Note. If you are unsure how many quarts of oil you will need for a complete oil change, please refer to your vehicles owner manual or contact your local Ford dealer.

one of the only true synthetics

put a supercharger on my car and it now mandatory for me to use a full synthetic oil. I change my oil every 3000 miles and it comes out very clean.

      Good purchase.

For 8 quarts the price is good. RP has been around for awhile and their products are really good. I've had zero issues with their oil, both engine and rear end, power steering, coolant additive and so on.

      Big difference

I bought 6 quarts of royal purple motor oil after reading up on the brand, description, details American muscle gives and other fellow mustang owners comments have written about the product. After putting royal purple in my v6 I totally felt the difference while driving the car everything feels so smooth. Besides the royal purple motor oil i bought royal purple's max ez power steering fluid i am really enjoying the big difference it's given my mustang I recommend 6 quarts of it. It's worth it.

Lost 3-4 mpg when I didn't use Royal Purple.

I normally run Royal Purple in my 2005 V6. At 105k miles, I let the dealer do some scheduled maintenance and also had them change the oil while they were at it. They used motorcraft synthetic blend. For the first 3,000 miles of the oil life cycle all was well, but for the last 2,000 miles or so I began getting 23 mpg instead of my usual 26/27 mpg. I just switched back to using Royal Purple and on my next tank I had my 26 mpg back. No noticeable difference in the first half of the 5k mile oil change interval.

I have been using Royal Purple oil for a few years now and I love the extra HP and MPG that it often gives when switching over from either conventional oil or other brands of synthetic oil. I definitely recommend this oil.

      Great oil

I needed to change the oil in my daily driver. I really liked the smoothness of the RP syncromax I put in a few weeks ago, so I decided to try out the RP motor oil. So far so good, seems to have picked up a little fuel economy too!
