      Description

      Premium Carbon Fiber Hood. The Anderson Composites Type-OE Hood is a lightweight and durable replacement for stock hoods. Designed to reduce vehicle weight and enhance aesthetics, it is engineered for both street and track use where performance and style are priorities.

      Construction and Appearance. This hood is crafted using a vacuum infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, delivering exceptional stiffness and strength. It features a marine grade gel coat with UV inhibitors that provide a polished high gloss finish while protecting the surface.

      Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skills, with minor adjustments often needed for proper fitment. No drilling is generally required as it mounts using original equipment hardware, which is not included. Note that the OE hood strut mount is only for temporary use during maintenance. All hoods require hood pins for safety, and a heat shield is necessary. Do not reinstall OE gas struts, as they place excessive pressure on the composite hood.

      Application. Specifically designed to fit Chevrolet Camaro models with LS and LT trims from 2016 through 2024, this hood accommodates both 1LT and 2LT versions, including RS trims where applicable.
