  Easy Mod

  Easy install. Fitment was no problem. Hardest part of install was getting old grille pieces out. Tabs can be a bit difficult to release. Grille looks great and appears to be very durable. Finish was perfect. Great workmanship. Highly recommend. inexpensive mod and beautiful results.

  Looks great

  Looks amazing on my 2008 V6 mustang however, it does not come with mounts for the fog lights. Had to make my own which took the most time.

  They look great!

  The only issue I ran in to while installing the upper grille replacement was removing the old grille. Once installed though, the plastic radiator shroud that holds the hood prop did not have holes for the pushpins in the front to connect to the grille, so it can wobble up and down under the hood. When installing the lower cover definitely get help from a friend and I recommend putting loctite on the bolts/nuts so they do not back out. Overall a really good pair that drastically changed the look of my mustang for the better.

  Grille replacement

  A very good product with a set of directions I had to fold back up and try it on my own. In less then an hour the main unit is in and looks good. Can't say as much for the lower because the parts sent are short pieces or again the directions are wrong for it as well.

  Looks great and install was easy, just be careful when removing the stock grill. Gives the care a cleaner and more sleek look. Wish the fastening system was a bit better but it's holding strong so far.

  Why blend in when you can STAND OUT!

  There is PLENTY of mustangs out there and this grill is a great way to stand out from the others! If I ever sell my mustang the grill stays with me!

  all I can say is WOW

  I received the grille late today after the UPS 'out for delivery' time crunching, nail biting wait. I had some difficulty removing the original grille from the front bumper, the plastic nubs really need some persuasive actions. Once I got the instructions figured out (very confusing wording) I had the grille installed in no time! The build quality is absolutely amazing and the fitment is perfect! You will not be disappointed, a great addition to the front end of your beloved Mustang! Thanks AM

  Good Look Bad Fit

  Found instructions vague and not helpful. Seemed to be hard with bumped on to install lower grille as visibility and hand reach was an issue. Upper Grille was a breeze and was on in less than a half hour but this one took time and the fitment is sub par.

  Review from Modern Billet Black Retro Billet Grille - Lower (05-09 V6)

  Excellent Retro Look!

  The lower grille was actually purchased as a combo with the upper retro billet grille (black). Great quality product and amazing retro look for your S197. All install parts were included as described. Both the upper and lower grille installed easily with basic hand tools. (I did have to remove the running pony emblem to get an exact fit for the upper grille.) While the upper grill has a very snug fit, the lower grill took a little more work. The metal is very good quality and has shown no sign of rust, as the car sits outside and has sat through snow and rain. The lower grill does not quite fit flush inside the opening and may need to be bent into place. Overall this is minor adjustment, and I simply left the grill as is since it only had a slight overhang from the top. Again, if you are going for a retro look or one that resembles the shelby, this is a great product.

  Looks nice but could have fit better

  I have a 2008 with the Pony Package. I am not sure if they came with different lower grilles, but this product did not fit right. The hardware that came with came no where close to fastening this lower grille to the bumper. Actually used 4 black zip ties and hold it in place and you cannot even tell. Good quality product, but the hardware needs changed

  Lower Billet Grille

  Very good product from American Muscle, It's a little bit of a tight fight under the fender however my father and I did it on our driveway without jacking the car up. Looks very mean. P.S you get water spots on the lower and upper part of the grille, I clean it using a cheap spray wax just to keep it black and glossy.

  READ THIS BEFORE BUYING!!!!!!!

  the grille looks awesome but i didnt realize that it wasnt a replacement grille it actually is suppose to fit over your existing lower grille so if you dont have the stock grille dont bother.

  "Just right" addition to the V6

  I added this product as well as the Upper Billet Grill and a chin spoiler, and now my mustang looks real aggressive with a great blacked out look!

  Not all of the hardware would fit.

  The shop was unable to get all four brackets attached due to the shape of the brackets and other attaching hardware. My lower grill is pretty secure though with the just the two brackets holding it. It doesn't feel like it is going to fall off or anything. It looks great with the upper grill and tri-bar pony emblem that I also purchased at the same time. I installed the upper grill myself in about half an hour. I would have done the lower grill myself but I have trouble getting up and down from the ground to work under the car.
