*Before anything, lay the decal on a flat surface for at least an hour so it will be easier to work with.

Installation Instructions:

1. You will need to remove the Ford emblem and the dealership logo if it is still on your car. You can use the X-Acto knife for this. For the Ford insignia, use a hair dryer to warm up the glue and pry it off with the putty knife.

2. After the letters and the insignia are off, there will be a glue substance under them. To get the substance off I used “Goo Gone” on a paper towel to get rid of it. Hold the paper towel on the substance so it can soak in for a few seconds then rub it away. After that, wash it off.

3. Clean the rest of the deck lid to make sure it is completely clean, any imperfection will make the installation more difficult.

4. On the smallest section that connects the two flat faces apply a good amount of the soap and water mixture on the panel and the vinyl and place it on there. Try to align it as best as you can, then, using the weight of the squeegee, try to get some of the water out. Remove any air bubbles with your finger. Also, have it overlapping a little bit on the right side.

5. After repeating the last step on the other side, do the middle section. Just make sure to use a rag over the squeegee so you don’t scratch the vinyl. Make sure there is a good crease and no paint is showing. On this part it would be a little easier to carefully blow dry the bottom part so it will stay in place better.

6. On the last two sections, make sure you have them overlapping the other piece on the opposite side of the taillight, but don’t fold it over until dry. There should be a slight reveal along the edge of the deck lid. After it dries, fold the flap and do any finishing touches.

Congratulations, you are done!
