    Ask a Question

Will these fit on a 99gt without having to roll the fender lip?

    Chas

    • The Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial PRO in 275/60R15 will fit a 1999 GT without rolling the fender if it is stock height.

My 2015 GT w/original 15" wheels has been lowered 1". I need to know if these tires will fit and function within my paramiters. If not what would be your recommendation for a tire size? My original tires have no clearance issues at all. Before I spend a lot of $ and find out they won't work I feel I must take my time and do a lot of Research on these issues. Any help or guidance you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance for your reply.

    MichaelL

    • The Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial PRO in 275/60R15 would be significantly taller than the OEM tires offered on the 2015 Mustang (28" vs 27.3) This would alter speedometer readings by approximately 1mph @60mph, reading slower than it should. This size difference may also cause issues with ABS and traction control due to differences in wheel speed. Unfortunately at a 275 width, it will be impossible to get a 15" tire that matches the 27.3" height of stock tires, and other widths will also be difficult. We would recommend a tune to adjust the speedometer for your given tire size to avoid issues.

      Traction..... Traction ..... Traction

I have a 2013 Mustang with Ford Racing Aluminator Motor and Roush Supercharger with 597 RWHP. Before buying a set of the ET Street Pro's, I had the ET Streets. The ET Street Pro's make my car a lot more consistent. Last weekend I ran 10.98 @ 126 mph, 10.82 @ 126 mph, 10.96 @ 126 mph, and 10.91 @ 126 mph. The ET Streets I would have had two high ten second runs and two low 11 second runs. The ET Street Pro's is what I will run for now on. I drove them 1 1\2 hours to the track and they drive great on the street. Now I wouldn't suggest driving them in the rain but they are great for what I wanted them for since the car is only driven in nice weather.

This is the radial tire for drag racing!!!!!

I have used several other drag radials in the past and by far this is the stickyest radial you can buy. It has helped me lower my 60ft and overall et more than any other. I have yet to see how quick it will wear but It honestly won't matter. THIS TIRE HOOKS!!!!! The only thing I miss is the white lettering on the sides of the tire. haha

      STICKY TIRE

When I started 1/8 mi drag racing last summer, I thought I could use my street tires and "be ok" for some occasional fun. I learned the first day that radials are one of (if not THE) most important mods to consider before you go to a track. So I upgraded the Nitto Invos I had on my car then to Nitto NT555R street rads. While that helped provide a little more traction, I was still blowing them off in the 60' no matter how warm I got them. When I burned through those, I decided to buy a 15x10 wheel and the sway bar relocation kit and get these Mickeys. The difference is freakin night and day. I shaved off almost half a second on my 60' times from the 555Rs. There is an obvious difference in the traction. I don't have the power yet to lift the front wheels of my Shelby off the ground, but when these tires are hot and I take off from the line, you can absolutely feel a huge difference!! The car squats and takes off down the track like a scalded dog. No more smoking the tires and wheels spinning through the gears..... they've got BITE and they do exactly what they were designed to do. I will absolutely continue buying these tires.

      Excellent Tire

These things hook. The sidewall is much softer than the regularr ET Streets. The softer sidewall means they walk a bit on the big end bur no where near as bad as a slick. The tires are very stable on the highway. Do not get caught in the rain. These are just like slicks if you get caught.

      Great buy

I went from street tires on the track to these and was blown away with how well they grip. Felt much safer on the track then I did with regular tires. The folks at american muscle helped me find the best size for my car as well and were super helpful
