Mustang Billet Upper Grille ('94-'98) - Installation Instructions

Installation Time

30 minutes

Tools Required
  • Small Socket and Wrench Set
  • Small Flathead Screwdriver
  • Small Phillips Screwdriver
  • Droplight or Other Portable Lighting Source (optional)

Installation

1. Remove the radiator shroud. Release the clips holding the shroud in place.

2. To remove the pony and its bracket, simply unscrew the 2 Phillips head screws that are holding it to the vehicle.

3. Center your new grille in your hood opening, and have your assistant hold the grille while you mark the location of the 3 brackets: on top center, and 2 lower side brackets. (A metallic marker, nail polish, or a sharp scribe will all work.)

4. Using a 3/16" bit, drill a pilot hole in each of the locations you marked above.

4. Attach grille by using supplied hardware. Tighten using hand tools. DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS IN THIS STEP, as it may damage your Mustang's plastic grille shell. Also, make sure not to over-tighten your hardware.
Note:If your Mustang was produced between 1/1/94 and 6/30/95, in order to prevent interference with the grille and insure easy opening of your hood, you may need to update your hood latch to the later style used in cars produced from7/1/95 through 11/30/98. This part can be obtained from your Ford dealership, using part #F6ZZ-16700-AA.

5. You're finished. Enjoy your new billet grille from Stack Racing.
