Description
HIGH PERFORMANCE DISTRIBUTOR. The PerTronix Flame-Thrower Electronic Distributor with Vacuum Advance; Male Terminals; Red is engineered to deliver superior ignition energy for Chevy Small Block and Big Block engines. It ensures reliable spark delivery essential for engine performance and efficiency, particularly under high RPM conditions. This distributor is commonly chosen to upgrade or replace stock units for improved combustion and power.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. Featuring a new lightweight aluminum alloy housing with precisely aligned and honed bronze sintered bushings, this distributor reduces friction and enhances durability. The shaft is centerless ground and corrosion resistant for concentric operation, while the distributor gear is ground to exact tolerances, with an available bronze gear option. The cap includes high dielectric strength with brass terminals and a low resistance center coil brush. The balanced rotor is secured with nylon screws to prevent arcing and minimize vibration at high engine speeds.
INSTALLATION. Installation is straightforward and does not require drilling or special modifications. Designed to fit directly onto the camshaft gear with precise gear mesh, it is compatible with stock Chevy engine setups.
