Description
Horsepower Gains. Upgrading your Mustang Cobra with a Vortech V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger with a Charge Cooler Satin is a terrific opportunity for more horsepower (from 305 to 484) and torque (285 lb./ft. to 423 lb./ft.). This comprehensive tuner kit has a V-3 gear driven centrifugal-style compressor with an integrated high-output air-to-water charge cooler for more air density. The result is a power boost without having to trade in your beloved Mustang for another model. What's more, it runs super quiet with SQ technology.
Advanced Design. Vortech's V-3 Supercharger System uses the latest technology for a very efficient impeller and housing design. A max-flow bypass valve prevents surges during compression and OEM-style aluminum bracketry is not only rigid but also retains your vehicle's factory look. A final satin coating is the attractive cherry on top.
Use a Pro. As the installation of this V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger with Charge Cooler Tuner Kit requires relocating the battery and takes roughly 10 hours, we recommend using a professional (mechanic or service provider). All sleeves and other required hardware come in the kit. A custom tune is needed after installation as no ECM programming is included.
Warranty Included. Vortech provides a 3 Year Limited Warranty with this new V-3 Si-Trim Tuner Kit. For particulars, please read the manufacturer's warranty page.
Tuner Kit. Tuner Kits include the Supercharger Head Unit, piping, mounting bracketry and parts required for basic installation. Tuner Kits do not include fuel components, electronic components, programmer or calibration. Custom dyno tuning is required for operation.
Application. The Vortech Si-Trim Supercharger with a Charge Cooler fits 1996-1998 4V 4.6L Mustang Cobras in conjunction with a battery relocation kit 8N150-010 (sold separately). NOTE: This system is not CARB compliant and does not include a fuel management upgrade.
