How to Install Axial Third Brake Light on your Mustang

1.) Remove old third brake light

a. Using a flat head screw driver unclip and unplug third brake light. Clip is located under trunk lid.

b. Using the T25 torx bit remove the outside screws on the third brake light. 

c. Remove the third brake light from the trunk lid. The cable is attached and will come out with the light.  

2.) Install new third brake light

a. Remove light from box  

b. Place wire in hole for third brake light 

c. Plug in gray third brake light connector under trunk lid 

d. Use factory third brake light screws to secure new brake light. Do this by hand so you do not crack the new 3rd brake light.
