I do like the headlights.matches great with the black paint. Only thing is the lights didn't come adjusted right and had do it which wasn't a big deal. But for the high beam the reflector broke and waiting on a replacementHelpful (0)

They look awesome. But that’s all they do. The bulbs provided are super dull. The lights aren’t even close to adjusted correctly so they shine onto your bumper. Low beams might as well not exist even with better bulbs. High beams same as regular headlight. Terrible fit. Can fit a finger between my bumper and light on the grille side. Bounce when you hit bumps. Look cool from a mile away. Maybe a $50 product.Helpful (5)

Looks great.. only gave a 4 start because they dont seem to be any brighter than the stock lights.. would recommend upgrading the bulbs (which will probably be the route I go). I have a projector headlight on my Harley and it's way brighter..Helpful (6)

Two year update
Purchased may 25th, and the smoked tint is bubbling off on the inside. Not sure I'd recommend for long term. Visibility is also bad with these lights, and they dont seem to fit as tight as OEM headlights.Helpful (8)

Extremely nice head lights. They look good and the plug and play is nice. The only bad is the lights that come with it are pretty dim other than I have no complaintsHelpful (8)

Looks good....from a distance
I really love the look, but when you look at them with more than a glance, the fit is not that good...the back edges don't line up with body, they stick out 1/4 inch, they don't line up with the hood in front like stock lenses did...hood now overhangs them a lot. I'd send them back if I hadn't chucked the boxes already. I'm not sure if the raxiom fit better or not.Helpful (9)
HID kit Can I install my HID light kit on this set of headlights? I like the way these headlights look and would consider buying. I have a pair of after market HID kit with a plug and play adapters and the bulbs are 30000k Bulbs( the color of the light is violet).
You should have no problem installing a set of aftermarket HIDs into these lights. We've had lots of customers do it without any issue.
My headlights are starting to haze/peel after a few summers outside, can I remove the smoked tint? Is it a vinyl or painted on tint? Has anyone done this before with headlights that we're purchased already smoked
It is a painted on clear tint, not a vinyl, it may be possible to re tint these headlights of taken to a body shop or custom vinyl/design shop.
When turning on the high beams do they work together with the low beams or do the high beams stay on by themselves?
Is there an install video or a video on how to adjust these lights? I looked at the pdf and it did not give much information
At this time we do not have an install/adjustment video. The two metal wheels with teeth on the rear of the headlamps will be used to adjust the headlamp aim.
Is there any way to protect or prevent these from peeling? I had an issue with my last set of smoked lights peeling after only a year.
The Axial Smoked Projector Headlights are tinted on the inside of the lens, making it impossible to apply anything to the tint.
The Axial Smoked Projector Headlights are only compatible with H3 bulbs for low beams, and H1 bulbs for high beams. They are not compatible with 9007 HID bulbs.
The Axial Smoked Projector Headlights would not change colors, it has tinted cover that will darken the appearance of the headlight.
We have not received any reports of early failure of the lens smoke/tint on the Axial Smoked Projector Headlights.
The Axial Smoked Projector Headlights include H3 bulbs for low beams and H1 bulbs for high beams. If you would like to upgrade your low beams as an HID or LED kit since this headlight will no longer be a Bi-beam, you would be correct. Only for the low beam H3 bulb, if you would like to upgrade this bulb.
Well HIDs are a very different/specific setup, so there is no guide to set HID bulbs up because that would be impossible. These headlights require H3 and H1 bulbs, of which we do not have any LED options as well. So as far as what we offer you can only do incandescent.
These headlights will accept LED and HID bulbs, though certain bulbs may require you to make some modifications.
If you follow the link below, it will take you to a detailed installation guide which will show you how to install these Bulbs. http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/files/49126-cust.pdf
Unfortunately the Oracle LEDs will not work with the Smoked Projector Headlights (99-04 All) without custom modification. For more information please contact Oracle.
The upgraded bulbs are going to be better than the bulbs that the Smoked Projector Headlights (99-04 All) come with. Don't forget that these headlights are smoked, so visibility will not be as great as a clear lens. Adding the upgraded bulbs will improve the brightness of the smoked headlights. They may not be as might as the stock headlights because of the smoked lens that these headlights have. The smoked lens will give your Mustang a sleeker look that is more eye catching than the factory ones. These headlights will not necessarily be brighter than your stock headlights.
These headlights come with bulbs so you will not have to reuse whatever is installed in the car currently. This set of headlights comes with both high beams and low beams. The low beams are bright enough for you to see, but you should not be bothering oncoming traffic.
