      Performance Carbon Fiber Hood. The Anderson Composites Type-SA Heat Extractor Hood; Carbon Fiber is designed to improve engine bay cooling through its integrated heat extraction vents. This hood enhances vehicle performance by reducing underhood temperatures while providing a lightweight, durable replacement with a sleek automotive appearance.

      Construction and Appearance. Crafted using a vacuum-infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, the hood features a marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors that are polished to a high-luster gloss finish. The carbon fiber “skeleton” bonded to the underside reduces weight while ensuring structural rigidity and strength. A removable and paintable mesh screen completes the design.

      Installation. Installation involves minor modifications and adjustments to ensure proper fitment, particularly around the OE windshield washer spray nozzle system and mounting tabs. The hood mounts using OE hardware, which is not included, and professional installation is recommended for optimal fit.
