Hey guys. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and installing the Axial Clear LED Side and Quarter Marker Lights for all 2010 to 2014 Mustangs. Your side and quarter marker lights are a small detail but they can go a long way when it comes to exterior styling. These have black housings with clear lenses and a full LED strip throughout each lens. You'll get amber for the front and red for the rear. The LED lights are gonna look totally different in these housings than your factory bulbs do. They cost about a hundred bucks and they're very easy to install, I'll call it a one out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter and I'll show you how to get these on your car now.Okay, guys. I'm gonna start this install by actually taking off the front wheel. You guys probably don't need to take off your wheels. I'm taking it off just so you can see clearly what I'm gonna be doing. You guys can probably be able to get away with just turning the wheel all the way to one side. You need to get access to this fender liner here so you can peel the fender liner back so you can get to your light. So I'm gonna go ahead and just pull the wheel off real quick. In order to peel back our fender liner, we have to remove one fastener and two 7 millimeter bolts that are right here. We're gonna go ahead and remove the fastener and the two bolts. All right guys. At this point, we're gonna peel back the fender liner and we'll be able to have access to the two 10 millimeter bolts that are holding this marker light in place. We're gonna disconnect the marker light and then remove it.All right. So at this point, we're gonna reach in here, disconnect our electrical connection. There's a tab. You'll just push the tab down and then it'll disconnect for you and here are the two 10 millimeter nuts that we're gonna be removing that are holding the marker light in place. So we'll go ahead, remove these. All right. So at this point, we're gonna reach back in here and our light is ready to be removed from the car so we're just going to push it through the bumper and pull it out.Okay, guys. To remove the rear marker light, you're gonna need a Phillips head screwdriver. I'm gonna use a stubby so I don't have to take the rear wheel off. There are two screws that are holding the bumper in place. What I wanna do is remove those so I can peel the bumper back and have access to this light back here. All right. So now we're just gonna peel the bumper away. It'll unclip and then we'll have access down here to the marker light. All right guys. In order to get the rear marker light out, you're just gonna need a push on this tab here, so we're gonna go ahead and push on the tab. So at this point, the marker light will come through the bumper but we need to disconnect our harness here so we're just gonna press on the tab and disconnect. All right guys. So, on the table, we have our stock side markers versus our new Axial side markers. With the Axal side markers you are upgrading to LED lighting. You're not just getting one LED bulb in each housing either. If you look closely you can see that you're actually getting an LED strip that runs the entire length of the housing. And that's great because it means you're gonna get an even light distribution throughout the whole housing. The housings are weather sealed too so you don't have to worry about that. You're gonna get an amber front marker and a red rear marker. There's no wiring needed at all. This is gonna be 100% plug and play. The only thing that you're gonna need to do is transfer over the sockets from your factory side markers to the new Axial side markers. So we'll go ahead and do that now.All right. So we're gonna go ahead and remove the bulb and socket from our factory side markers. All right. So we're actually gonna remove the light bulb from the socket because the only thing we're gonna transfer over is the socket. We'll go ahead, pull the bulb out and transfer this to the new side marker. All right. So we'll go ahead and transfer the socket over to the new Axial side marker. Just keep in mind that the side markers are side specific so make sure you're working with the correct side. So we're going to plug this end into our socket. Guys, keep in mind that LED lights do have polarity to them so if you end up installing these and plugging them in and the side marker doesn't work, just know that you'll need to swap the way you're plugged in. So we'll go ahead, plug it in. You're going to keep your harness down into the light here and plug the socket into the back of the side marker. All right. So you're gonna repeat the process for your rear side marker. You'll remove the socket, the bulb will come out with it, pull the bulb out, transfer this over to the new side marker. All right. So once again we'll go ahead, plug the new side marker into our socket. We'll keep the harness down inside the light housing and plug the socket into the new side marker. All right. So what we're gonna do before we actually fully install the side marker is I'm actually gonna just plug it into the harness right now and then I'm gonna test to see if it works. This goes back to LED lighting having polarity. I don't wanna fully install this unless I know the bulb is in correctly and these are gonna work. So, we're gonna go ahead. Once you test the side marker and make sure it is working, these are simply just gonna push right back into your bumper and then you're gonna get your bumper back into place. So we'll go ahead and reinstall our hardware now.All right guys. Your front is gonna install the same way. They are side specific once again so just make sure you have the correct side. We are going to just slide the front into the bumper and I'm gonna reach behind here and connect the electrical connection and then before I do anything else I'm just gonna go ahead and make sure that this works. So we'll go ahead, get the light in place, and plug in our electrical connection. Okay. So the Axial side markers don't require any hardware to be installed so we're gonna go ahead and get our fender liner back into place. From here we can grab our stock hardware and put that back in place as well. All right. So we'll get our fastener back in place and our hardware. All right guys. That's gonna wrap up this review and install. Keep in mind that you can always check these out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.
