How do I program my new keyless remote ?

    Zarew7

    • Any Ford dealership should be able to, but I also have this helpful step-by-step guide I found on the internet: http://www.keyfobprogram.com/ford-keyless-remote-key-fob-programming-instructions-1/

How do I program my Keyless entry remote?

    BodyWorker

    • To program the remote itself, you may follow the instructions below. (1) Put the key in the ignition and make sure it can turn freely. (2)Turn the ignition quickly, 8 times, between ON and OFF (do not start the car) and end with the key in the ON position. You'll know you did it correctly because the door locks will LOCK and then UNLOCK. (3) Push either the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote ( I would recommend pressing LOCK, so the doors would lock if you did it correctly). Turn the key to the OFF position and click the TRUNK button. If it opens, you're done however, do not forget to close the trunk.

How do you get electronics out of old key fab

    TimothyA

    • The electronics in the old or original remote are held in by small clips that can be released with a small pic or a standard screwdriver.

Review from OPR Keyless Entry Remote Case w/ Key Pad (99-09 All)

      Opr keyless remote.

This product was exactly what I was looking for. It holds the battery in the back plastic cover or on the chip which ever way you have yours. Overall great product. Half star off because it doesn't hold the battery in the back. You place the battery there and put the remote together hoping it doesn't move.

      Broken upon arrival

I would honestly rate this 0 stars if I could. This entire transaction was poorly done and I am pretty disappointed with American Muscle as a whole. I am a returning customer that has spent a lot of money on this site but this was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Product was broken upon receiving it and when I tried to return it (via their specific return instructions) I did not receive my full refund until I called customer service. They also have yet to send me a return label like they said they would, all they sent was their address to my email which I could have easily looked up myself on their website.

      Thanks for nothing-not a remote

This is just a case, not a keyless remote. No battery, no circuit board. Had to send back at my cost. Not happy. Lost $3.50.

      Awkward...

When I bought this item I thought it was the whole keyless fob not just the case. I went to program it and I was like why are these buttons so squishy then I realized that there was no board included so I took it apart put the board in and worked like a charm. Plus the carbon fiber looks pretty good.

      hmmmm

Really? $20 and a waste of my time for the case? Can get just a case other places for $5. I thought this was the complete keyless entry based on the price and the fact it had links for programming it. Can't program anything without the circuit board in it or a battery. While they did mention it didn't come with the internal electronics now that I reread the description, it was an afterthought at the end of the description. HERE'S HOW TO DO IT: AT THE BEGINNING IN BOLD STATE-ATTENTION: DOES NOT COME WITH CIRCUIT BOARD OR BATTERY! THIS IS JUST A PLASTIC CASE. YOU CANNOT USE THIS AS A SECOND REMOTE, IT IS JUST A CASE TO REPLACE YOUR BROKEN CASE.

      Awesome

This thing is awesome, my old plastic ones kept breaking so i just went with the carbon. A little but more expensive but i always get complements ON MY KEYS. Its so cool people never used to say “hey man i love your keyfob” but now that happens

      just like new

A few years back the holes for the key ring wore thru and had to jury rig it to the key ring. Ford dealer wanted to sell me a whole new fob which had to be reprogrammed IE too much money. But when I saw this I knew it was the answer I'd been lookin' for

      Stopped working

I hooked it up myself and it was working fine but I took it to Les Schwab and after I got it back the key fob stopped working and I tried three different techniques to get it to connect again and it won't work and I don't want to pay the dealership for something that should be so simple to install because it's not a fancy key fob at all.

Review from OPR Keyless Entry Remote Case w/ Key Pad (99-09 All)

      Works perfectly

I read the reviews and learned from the mistakes of others. One person wrote there were no electronics inside. I verified there was. The item description clearly says if it contains internals or not when you order it. Another wrote you can only program one at a time. I found directions online that showed how to program four at a time. It made sense to me to program the existing key fob with the new one. So my thanks to the ones who experienced “trial and error” for me. I had both key fobs programmed in less than two minutes. Thank you, and I look forward to doing more business with you!
