How do I program my new keyless remote ?

    • Any Ford dealership should be able to, but I also have this helpful step-by-step guide I found on the internet: http://www.keyfobprogram.com/ford-keyless-remote-key-fob-programming-instructions-1/

How do I program my Keyless entry remote?

    • To program the remote itself, you may follow the instructions below. (1) Put the key in the ignition and make sure it can turn freely. (2)Turn the ignition quickly, 8 times, between ON and OFF (do not start the car) and end with the key in the ON position. You'll know you did it correctly because the door locks will LOCK and then UNLOCK. (3) Push either the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote ( I would recommend pressing LOCK, so the doors would lock if you did it correctly). Turn the key to the OFF position and click the TRUNK button. If it opens, you're done however, do not forget to close the trunk.

The description says "Not compatible with Mustangs equipped with factory remote start feature. Sold individually." Currently I have one of these fobs and a separate fob for my remote start. Does this mean that because I have a factory installed remote start I can't use this fob? 1 answer

Review from OPR Keyless Entry Remote Case w/ Key Pad (99-09 All)

This is of the product not AM.

The remote I recived did not work AM customer service helped out amazingly with that, so thank you to them. However even if it had worked beautifully I would rate it 3/5 at best... the controller case is hideous for starters much much bulkier, cheaper, and the edges are not soft and smooth like the OEM remote. Second the inner remote is just an off the shelf component it is not designed for 4 button Ford cars it's actually a 5 button remote under the cover. The chip is very cheap and not clean at all.... I belive this is why mine was broken from the factory but even if it was not this component would NOT last long.i would honestly just recomend an OEM replacement if you need one.

      Looks clean cool

Happy with the product, it no doubt is better than the original key fob that came with the car. Only issue I could see be better would be the finish on the top edge of the fob. It feels a little flaky and or bumpy, I Could have just had a slighty defective one not that I care all that much about it though seeing as it will probably get beat up over time like the original one did anyways, but Fitment was perfect every thing works so no issues there. Seems very genuine. Even the inside of the fob has the nice carbon print on it, it’s just not polished of course

      Horrible product

The product gave out in less than two weeks of use. I bought a new battery for it, thinking it would work but it didn't. I tried to program it but it still wouldn't do that either. I'm glad I'm able to share my experience before anyone else gets a bad product.

      Confused and disappointed

First part is my mistake I guess. I thought I was getting an actual working key fob for $25, not a shell. Ok, so I moved forward and tried to use it. I removed the electronics of my OE fob and placed inside. Seemed ok, until the panic alarm went off and I none of the buttons on the fob would turn it off. I had to take the electronics out and push the button on the circuit board to turn it off. Hmm, ok maybe I did something wrong. Maybe I didn't fit the rubber cover properly. So I tried it two more times with the same result. So back to AM it went. I didn't want to mess with it anymore and annoy my neighbors more than I did. Good thing I wasn't doing this at night. LOL. Bought two new fobs for half the price elsewhere. Great idea, looks nice but poor fit.
