Features & Details

  • Great Custom Styling
  • Extra Brake Light for Safety
  • Durable Black Vinyl Exterior
  • Sturdy Tubular Steel Construction
  • Fits All 90-93 Convertible Mustangs
Custom Styling. Give your Foxbody convertible a modern, sporty look with a Classic Design Concepts Convertible Light Bar. The CDC Light Bar gives your 'Vert an aggressive look that will turn heads when the top is down, but fits perfectly under your rag top in bad weather.

Additional Safety. CDC designed this styling bar to provide additional safety by incorporating a high mounted LED brake light that is highly visible to all vehicles following behind you day or night.

Superior Quality. The Classic Design Concepts light bar is constructed of a sturdy 1 ¼” round steel tube, with a 1/8” wall thickness. The polyurethane mold is then wrapped with a durable weather resistant black vinyl that features the same grain texture as the Ford OE interior for a perfect match.

No Welding Required. Installation can be completed in a couple of hours in the comfort of your own driveway with basic hand tools and there is no welding required. The CDC Light Bar simply bolts to the B pillar for a sturdy mount that also helps stiffen your Mustang to reduce body flex.

Application. The Classic Design Concepts Light Bar fits perfectly on all 1990 to 1993 convertible Foxbody Mustangs, including the LX, 5.0 LX, and GT models.

Technical Notes. Appearance item only, Light Bar does not provide roll over protection in case of an accident.

Styling bar fit I have a 1993 LX convertible. I would like to buy the CDC light styling bar for my fox but I need to be sure that there will be NO seat belt retraction rub or rear quarter window gaps left when installed. Thank you, Nicholas.

  • The seat belts should not rub on the light bar when they are being retracted. Also, there should not be a quarter window gap after installation of the bar. This bar will fit perfectly on your 93 LX Mustang with the top up and down.

will this fit my 1988 Mustang gt i know it says only 90-93 but i have seen on other sites that they fit?

  • As per CDC, 87-89 models will need to replace the rear interior trim panels with 90-93 trim panels, which are not included, to accept the LightBar brackets' width. It is recommended to acquire the needed panels first as they are difficult to find. Hope this helps!

    Great Addition

Looks great but was a pain to install. Took close to 5 hours to install but was well worth it. Factory holes bar is designed to fit stripped out but I drilled new ones right above stock and it installed with no problem. Bar has plenty of adjustment leeway so proper fitment is just a matter of time.

    This light bar looks B-E-A-U-TIFUL

This is one Heck of a way to set off your foxbody convertible. I get so many compliments about it. I love it. The only problem with it is the price... it is a little over priced. Installation was easy, just had to make a few cuts and drill a few holes.
