Review & Installation Video

Review & Install Video

Hey, I'm Alex from americanmuscle.com, and this my quick review and breakdown of the CDC Sequential Turn Signal Mirror kit featuring "Objects are closer" and "Objects appear to be losing," fitting the 2015 and up S550 Mustang. So in this video, I'm gonna give a quick breakdown on who these mirrors are gonna appeal to, what you should expect to be paying, as well as the fit and finish, and then lastly, we're gonna hit the installation. But right off the bat, I'm gonna be giving this a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty, meter and you should have this on your car in about 30 minutes tops. So if you're the owner of an S550 Mustang, and you're looking to add a nice subtle mod with something that's gonna make the sides of your Mustang stand out, more importantly, mesh very well with your standard sequential taillights, this is definitely a mod I would highly suggest checking out as you're not only going to be adding a very, very nice touch just like I said earlier, but you're gonna be making other cars aware around you that you're gonna be changing lanes. So, taking a look at the construction here, if you're unfamiliar with CDC, these guys have been at the forefront of the Mustang game for quite some time here, and you should expect right out of the box to have a perfect OE fit and finish for your Mustang just like much of their other parts available. So this kit is gonna be a very simple plug-n-play install which I'm gonna hit on later, but right out of the box, you're gonna see that this is gonna come with provided pigtail harnesses so you can rest easy knowing that you're not gonna have to splice or cut into any kind of wiring in your brand new Mustang. So just a couple of quick things that I do wanna mention here right before we get into the nitty-gritty is that these mirrors are going to retain the factory Mustang mirror's heated option which are gonna be able to see on the back here. Now I do want to mention that if your Mustang did not come with the exterior turn signal housing, as well as having the blind spot indicator, these mirrors are unfortunately not going to be compatible on your car. So taking a quick look at the pricing here, you should expect to be spending right around $140 for either set, and I do wanna add that, in my opinion, that's definitely a steal considering any event that you had to replace your reflective surface for your housing, you probably will be paying an arm and a leg through your dealer. So on the flip-side here, for the money again, I definitely think you're getting away with a nice touch as if you're gonna run this through the dealership, they can be definitely costly. But for this fresh set, not only you're going to have the intimidation factor of letting anybody on your passenger side know that you're likely going to be pulling away from them, but for the fact that you're going to be adding a very, very nice, subtle touch with the sequential turn signals built into the mirror, which are gonna match very well with your factory taillights. So taking a quick look at the installation here, just like I had said at the beginning of the video, you're to be looking at a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and about 30 minutes in your driveway or shop to get these installed on your Mustang. So aside from the pricing here, the installation alone is going to be one of my top selling points as you are not going to have to do any type of cutting or splicing onto your brand new Mustang. This is going to be a very simple plug-n-play kit with the provided pigtails that are going to come from CDC. So just to hit this home again for the money and ease of installation, along with setting your Mustang apart from every other Mustang on the road, I would definitely suggest taking a look at this kit, not only because of the fact that you're gonna have a nice, subtle mod that's going to mesh very well with your factory S550 taillights, but for the fact that you're going to have a very quality-made part that's going to set off the side of your Mustang. All right guys, so just to wrap things up here, I definitely like this option from CDC, not only based on the fact that they're known to make very high-quality parts and have a perfect finish, but from the pricing here as well as the ease of installation. Last, but not least, it's always nice to let whomever is on your passenger side know that you may be putting a few core lengths on them with something that's going to be saying, "Objects in mirror, or about to be losing or appear to be losing." So that's my quick review and install of the CDC Sequential Turn Signal Mirrors with objects appear to be losing as well as objects are closer than they appear, fitting the 2015 and up Mustang, available right here at americanmuscle.com.

Safer Lane Change Notification. If your 2015-2018 Mustang is equipped with amber turn signal side mirrors, you can take them to a whole new level by upgrading to Classic Design Concepts Sequential Turn Signal Mirrors. With turn signals built right into the glass, this addition enhances the safety level of lane changing. Their unique design includes "OBJECTS IN THE MIRROR ARE LOSING" instead of the standard message on the passenger side mirror.

Durable Construction. Containing the factory heated glass option, these CDC Sequential Turn Signal Mirrors are constructed utilizing premium quality materials that are crafted as a direct fit upgrade. With the turn signal built into the mirror, the sequence will match your factory sequential tail lights perfectly. Featuring the clever print of "OBJECTS IN THE MIRROR ARE LOSING" on the passenger side mirror, you can enjoy clear visibility of every car you leave in the dust behind you.

Easy Installation Process. Designed to eliminate the need to run any difficult wiring, this pair of CDC Sequential Turn Signal Mirrors are a direct replacement for the OE mirror glass of your driver and passenger side mirror housings. Two pigtail wiring harnesses are included, delivering a simple plug and play application. These mirror upgrades are only compatible with Mustangs equipped with the factory amber signals in the mirror housings.

Application. These CDC Sequential Turn Signal Mirrors with Objects Losing Print are made to fit all 2015-2018 Mustangs equipped with Factory Turn Signal Side Mirrors.

Technical Note. These mirrors are not compatible with Mustang models equipped with optional factory blind spot indicators.

Will these still keep the blind spot indicator active, or does it deactivate the indicator?

  • This is not compatible with the models that are equipped with blind spot indicators as it will not be able to keep the function.

    Awesome!

Super easy install. Looks awesome. Can see so much better than the stock mirrors that come with the mustang. Love how it runs in sync with the tail light blinker too. Definitely worth the purchase just for the safety factor alone being able to see more, and it adds a little more flare.

    These look awesome!!

Just installed these today on my 2015 GT. Now that there on an work perfect I can tell you that getting the mirrors off is a bit tricky. Mine had some adhesive around the actuators. When you are ready to put back on the black bezels make sure things are lined up before snapping them in. Other then a couple of hiccups these went on pretty nice and work and look great!!
