Does the chin spoiler come in a flat black? Where you could affectively install it right out of the box?

cblack

  • It is flat black, but there are some sanding marks that would look bad if you install it with no paint whatsoever.

can I get this chin spoiler for a v6 The GT CDC aggressive chin is tough looking. Do they have the same style for my 6?

  • Unfortunately, the CDC Aggressive Chin Spoiler - Unpainted (05-09 GT) will only fit the GT models. For you V6 model I would recommend the CDC Chin Spoiler - Unpainted (05-09 V6) Item #11033-00 (http://www.americanmuscle.com/cdc-2005-v6-chin-spoiler.html).

How does this spoiler fare against speed bumps? When I'm coming home, I go over some pretty high, but smoothed out speed bumps. Should I just be extra careful when going over them?

Kristopher

  • The CDC Aggressive Chin Spoiler will eliminate quite a bit of your ground clearance, especially if the car is lowered at all. I would highly recommend caution when approaching large speed bumps.

I have an 06 gt a have lowered her . i need to know how tall is the cdc aggressive chin spoiler is ???

duffy

  • Unfortunately we do not have the spec on how tall this chin spoiler is, however the ground clearance measured from the ground to lowest point of the chin spoiler, on a stock-height vehicle, is approximately 5.75 inches. So with this, just subtract the amount you lowered your Mustang from that number and that's what kind of room you will be working with!

in some photos customer is someone who adopted a splitter splitter can tell me is it?

Kadaphie82

  • The CDC Aggressive Chin Spoiler - Unpainted (05-09 GT) will work perfectly with the CDC Splitter Upgrade (05-09 GT), item # 11093, (http://www.americanmuscle.com/cdc-chinspoiler-splitter-0509gt.html). This is the splitter upgrade that attaches to the bottom of the CDC Chin Spoiler.

    Perfect

This chin makes the front of your car look completely different. It fits so cohesively it looks like a new front end altogether. It was definitely a quality material, something that can take a few hits from pebbles and other road hazards from damaging it on your drives. Adds a very uniform look to the car especially from the side where it lines up nicely with the side skirts. If you don't have plans to replace your front end but want to change it up a bit I would highly suggest this or any chin spoiler.

    AWESOME PRODUCT

This totally changes the look of the car! The instalation was fairly easy, took about 4 hours. Cutting the bumper was the most difficult part. The only thing would be better is if this part was offered prepainted.

    Aggressive Chin Spoiler

Great product that really changes the appearance of the car. Easy to install but needed to modify the flat part that goes inside where the old grill mounts were by adding additional support and bolting to the chin spoiler to make it lie flat. Looks great, would recommend to anyone wanting to make an aggressive change to the front of their Mustang.

    CDC Chin Spoiler

This made my car look 10 times better in the front. Everything was included in the package for install. Took me and my brother about 2 hours for install but we were going slow and taking out time. I juse a wis wheel to cut my bumber and the chin spoiler lined up really nice. If your looking for a cheaper mod for your front end other then buying a whole new bumper, I recommend this. Thanks AM.

    spoiler

after my painted louver fiasco I thought I would try something different.I bought a unpainted spoiler and had my friend paint at his shop.I had to grind down some spots on the back side of the spoiler so it fit flush and it looked as though the spoiler had a crack in it on the under side. By the way my friends paint matches

HOLY COW! ITS LIKE A NEW BUMPER

If you are not wanting to spend a lot on a whole front end conversion, or new special bumper, then look no further than to this CDC Aggressive Chin Spoiler. It completely changes the whole look of the front end with such a nice design! Would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a chin spoiler. *Disclaimer, if you are on lowering springs 1.5in lower or more, I would take great caution when going up or down steep slopes because this chin spoiler will scrape if you go too fast, nothing major, but just to be aware.

    Great look

Disappointed that the lower mesh grille does not fit once the Agressive Chin spoiler has been installed. Seems like AM as well as other websites sell OEM and after market grills to fit every application except this one. Some people just don't like the look of the open space in the bumper. Should have done my homework. Looking to AM to resolve this issue in the future. Cost below includes paint and install costs.

    Completely Changes Stock Front End

I wanted to change my front end to look more aggressive but stayed with a new OEM front bumper cover. Although I have just pre-fit it to the new bumper cover (being painted next week) I can see that the look of my front end will change big time.

Looks Great. Fit well. BE CAREFUL if you are cutting the bumper yourself. I went too far on a stroke using a saw and poked a pinhole leak in the compressor right behind it. Cost a pretty penny to fix. Shop install is pretty cheap to make sure it's done right. Chin spoiler is awesome though!

    Aggressive Says It All!!

Out of the box the spoiler was a little "rough around the edges" with some prep work/sanding already done from the factory. There were a few pin holes and minor flaws that needed to be addressed with some filler. A couple spots along the back edge that fits into the lower grille opening were a little wavy and needed to be shaved smooth. The retainer that bolts to the top of the grille opening doesn't fit 100% flush all the way around but is very close. The installation directions were clear and straight forward but a couple of the pictures were a little fuzzy. The hacksaw blade they mention to use to cut out the area that needs to be removed for the spoiler to fit works well, although I used a dremel to cut along the line 1" in from the front of the fascia. BE SURE to fully understand the cut lines and areas that are to be removed as some of the exsisting fascia needs to remain in place. Overall the spoiler was easy to install and adds a wicked mean look to front end but be prepared to spend a couple hours doing so. I have submitted some pics, make sure to check them out!!

    Looks Hot

This spoiler gives my '07 Mustang a bold racy look and fits the lower body lines like it was ment to be there, just wish there was some kind of grill insert to fit it to keep rocks and debris from getting to the radiator, just in case.

    Great looks however..

It looks great no doubt but I only got 4 of the 7 screws in my package and when I opened the box the screws were kinda just loose in there jumbling around not to mention I got just 5 nuts as well but besides that every thing was there. Now the fit is tight you have to kinda wrestle it to get it around the bumper and my holes for the fender had to be drilled bigger because the ones I got were pin hole size but all in all its a great piece although a little steep on the price especially after missing hardware
