Will these caps fit over strut tower brace?

        • We have seen customers use these caps with our SR performance strut tower brace and the Chrome Strut Tower Nut Cap Cover Set (05-08 All) seemed to fit and look just fine.

Does anyone know where to get more of the black goo "tape" that is used to secure these. They really only supply enough for four and not all eight. In lieu of that, does anyone have any ideas for a substitute? I was thinking silicone or something along those lines.

        • The product you refer to is called "Glazing Tape" and it is used for commercial window installations, one roll of this stuff for our purposes should last a lifetime of installs.

            Cap Covers - Don't recommend

The cap covers are very loose over the nut. The little bit of sticky substance provided with the caps is insufficient to hold the caps in place. I'm now looking for a way to keep the caps in place.

Dont waste the money --Get the nuts

if I had know what the quality of these were I would have just ordered the set of chrome acorns for the towers. The go no with a tiny piece of 3M tape inside the cap and stick to the nuts for mounting. They look Okay, but I would call the appearance "Cheap" Certainly not a good bang for your buck....

            Looks GREAT

Adds a little bling to a very dull area. Had to put a little silicone in them to hold on.

            Nice but not installed

Very nice quality. And am sure it will make my Stang shift better. Wish I could install but my disability won't let me. American Muscle has good products and I would recommend too everyone.

Nice looking but Installation needed fixing

Once the covers were installed they looked great but the rubbery material in the packaging didn't do much of a job. The material was far short of being enough to install all the covers securely. I utilized Goop which was added into the covers and then placed into position on the Strut Tower top threads. I believe the Goop material will work out to keep the covers in place. Install took me but 10 minutes.

            Bling for the engine bay

I have a chrome strut tower brace that looked great but was obviously missing something. The solution came in these strut tower caps that provided just the right detail to finish off the look. It's the details like these that make a difference in the engin bay. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

            Look Good

Easy install, look good. Only downfall is that not enough supplied hold tar, glue whatever It is called to hold them securely in place. Used silicone to hold them in place.

            Looks awesome

Awesome look making my strut bar look awesome. Had trouble getting them to stick. They didn't supply enough of the black stuff to hold it on.. I got some poster tack and it holding nicely..make sure you put alot on the studs so they don't fall off

            Ok for the money

Not bad for the money. .you do need more adhesive tape to make it work, What you get in the kit is not enough to do all 8 and have them stay down and not move around

            Needs a better application product

I feel the overall quality of the product is fine but they need to come up with a better way to apply them. The buttle tape just does not cut it.

Chrome Strut Tower Nut Cap Cover Set

The caps look OK but are very cheaply made. Would have prefered to have a cap that screws on to the bolt that would be easy to remove.

            Strut Tower Nut Cap covers

These little buggers are AWESOME. They are WAY better than the nuts supplied with the other strut cover kit. They are a little pricey for what they are but they look FABULOUS! I DID have to get some additional butyl tape adhesive to finish the job as they don't supply enough with the kit. I would recommend these covers in spite of the price as they really add a great touch to the engine bay.

            way overpriced

This item looks good under the hood. But for 50 bucks it is way overpriced. This should have been like 20 bucks. They install real easy and add a little shine to a dull area.

            Nice touch

These are a nice addition under the hood. The supplied adhesive is not very good and had to use some rubber tape around the bolts instead to get these to stay on. They are a little expensive for what they are and how they install, but they look nice.
