I have a 93 lx which had the puny 58mm maf from the factory. This gave me the power band back I was missing which was more prominent in the speed density cars. Also throttle response was improved and better exhaust note.Helpful (6)

I needed a new air intake tube and I also needed the parts to pair with my 30lb injectors. I feel the need to paint parts of the engine but everything looks great regardless.Helpful (4)
So I can run my stock electronics with this set up? Even if I currently have 19lb injector but, plan on switching to 24 lbs I can select the 19lb injector set up and it will still work with 24 lbs injector later or would I have to buy a different set up. Also what diameter filter does it take? It’s not specified if it’s 3.5 or 4 inch
The C&L 76mm MAF Upgrade Kit will include the sample tube which you select. If you upgrade your injectors, you will need to change your sample tube to the proper calibration of the injector that you choose.
I have 92 fox want to upgrade to 24lbs inject. Size. Could i use this housing and just use my stock maf meter sensor? Or do i need to buy aftermarket meter calibrated to 24's?
This C&L 76mm MAF Upgrade Kit is available in a 24lb option where you would not have to purchase a new MAF. You can reuse the stock electronics.
I already have the C L meter. How do I just buy the tru flow tube?

I have a 76mm C L maf with 19lb injectors. I was wanting to go with 30lb injectors. Can I get a sample tube for the 30lb injectors or will I have to get a new maf?
At this time we do not carry the sample tubes individually.
What color are the couplers in this kit? I see one picture contains black couplers and most of the customer supplied pictures show blue. Thanks.

Gabe, You must utilize a factory MAF sensor. That is why there is no electronics and no ture needed. The sample tube size basically tricks the computer into thinking it's running 19lbs injectors now matter what size you really are using a factory sensor.
When using the C&L 76mm MAF Upgrade Kit (89-93 5.0L, Excludes Cobra). You should be able to just replace it the housing that is calibrated for the different sized injectors. Unfortunately, American Muscle does not carry these replacement housings.
After installing the C&L 76mm MAF Upgrade Kit (89-93 5.0L, Excludes Cobra), you should not need to make any timing adjustments. From the information that you have supplied, it does sound like a vacuum leak. Make sure that the clamps are tight around the couplers to make sure there is no air loss. This is not a conversion kit, this is a MAF upgrade kit for the 1989-1993 Mustangs and will only work with that year range.
In this case you will just want to stretch the coupler that is included with this kit to fit over the larger throttle body, or you can go to any local auto parts store to purchase a larger coupler.
The sensor itself is not included in the C&L 76mm MAF Upgrade Kit (89-93 5.0L, Excludes Cobra). The way it calibrates is actually pretty interesting. If you take a look at the first three pictures on the product page you will notice the housing has a smaller tube on the end of the housing that the sensor will be attaching to. That tube manipulates the airflow so the sensor responds properly so even if the sensor itself isn't calibrated, the airflow is adjusted accordingly by the time the sensor has anything to read.

You could use kit . Or just the maf housing. But from experience I would buy a maf meter from pro m racing my car ran better with a pro m over the c&l housing because of the meter is calibrated beter. But in the long run you get what u you pay for. Spend hu your money and get a pro m.
