Hey everyone, Justin with AmericanMuscle.com and this is my quick look into the C&L upper intake plenum fitting the two valve, 4.6 liter motor found in all '96 to '04 Mustang GTs. C&L devotes a majority of their time and efforts into designing and developing Mustang specific intakes using flow bench engineering and have been doing so for over 20 years now. Whether it's a cold air intake for your Coyote Mustang, a matte housing for your Foxbody or Cobra, or an upper intake plenum here for your SN95, chances are C&L has you covered. Now if you guys do want to see more from C&L, including other project car builds and other great Mustang content, you should definitely check out our YouTube channel sometime, click the link below to subscribe if you haven't done so already, and while you're there, take a look around and drop us some feedback. So the goal of the C&L upper intake plenum here is to maximize the airflow into your two valve motor, increasing not only your horsepower and torque, but also your throttle response. Now in fact, don't take my word for it, we have a ton of customer reviews on this product in particular, and I definitely encourage you to click the link below to head back to the product page, if you're not there already, to read up on some of these reviews. The plenum is made right here in the USA using high quality aluminum for the construction. Now, it is a carb certified 50 state legal part, so my SN95's in California can take advantage of this part. Now, if you guys do read those customer reviews like I just told you to, you will notice a majority of our customers actually pair this plenum up with a 70 or 75 millimeter after market throttle body. Now granted, you guys can take advantage of this part using your factory throttle body. But if you do want to maximize your gains with the larger volume and larger diameter, I highly recommend you go with an after market throttle body of your choice, especially on heavily modded two valves, which you'll really see some solid benefits thanks to the C&L.Getting the new C&L plenum installed isn't necessarily the hardest install in the world, but you will need to take care of a few different steps, including transferring over your EGR and intake air control valves over to the new unit. Because of this, we are going to call this install roughly two hours from start to finish using basic hand tools, but if it takes you guys a little longer, don't get discouraged. Keep in mind, we always have very detailed product breakdowns and installation breakdowns and installation breakdowns available on the product page. So if you do get a little jammed up, you can always reference those, or you can always reach out to one of our Mustang experts by phone or by email. So if you're looking to further open up the intake on your modified or stocked two valve SN95, then be sure to check out the C&L upper intake plenum, available here at AmericanMuscle.com.
Maximum Airflow. The C&L Upper Intake Plenum is specifically designed to improve the airflow into your 2002-2004 GT's 4.6L two valve V8 engine to maximize airflow for a noticeable increase in horsepower, torque and performance.
Perfect For Larger Throttle Bodies. To really take advantage of a larger than stock throttle body you need a larger than stock intake plenum. Just by installing a C&L intake plenum in combination with a 75mm throttle body on a mildly modified Mustang you can see at least 8 more rear wheel horsepower, and as much as 15 more horsepower on a more heavily modified Pony.
Made in the USA. Proudly made in the USA from the highest quality materials available, this C&L Performance Intake Plenum has been extensively flow bench tested and engineered to out perform the competition.
CARB Certified. Best of all this C&L Upper Intake Plenum is 50-state smog legal under Carb EO# D-640-1 for 2002 through 2004 GT models.
Application. This C&L Upper Intake Plenum is a direct bolt-in replacement for all 2002 to 2004 4.6L 2V Mustangs using a Stock, 70mm, or 75mm Throttle Body and will clear stock hoods with only a 1/2" height difference compared to stock.
