    Provides Additional Safety. Add additional safety and strength to your uni-body SN95 Mustang with a Competition Engineering eight point roll bar featuring 1-3/4" x 0.134" wall mild steel tubing. This Mustang roll bar meets both NHRA and IHRA requirements for track use.

    Kit Includes. This Competition Engineering 8 point roll bar includes the main hoop, main hoop crossbrace, two rear struts, two front door bars, two diagonal hoop supports, six weld joint gussets.

    Superior Strength And Construction. Competition Engineering spent countless hours developing and perfecting their kits to offer the utmost in strength and fit without adding unnecessary weight. All tubing exceeds the requirements of racing sanctioning bodies and is mandrel formed on computer controlled equipment for uniform wall thickness.

    Application. This Competition Engineering 8 point roll bar is specifically designed to fit the 19994 to 2004 Coupe Mustangs. It is not intended for use on convertibles.

    Technical Note. AmericanMuscle recommends professional installation of all Roll Bars and Roll Cages as welding is required for proper installation and safety. Ships unassembled.

    Would it be impossible to fit this in a convertible

    • Unfortunately the roll bar is designed for 94-04 Mustang coupes only. From my understanding, the roll bar can cause interference with the top for convertible models.

    What makes these cages incompatible with convertibles?

    • The roll bar cages are generally designed for coupes only and will not work properly with a convertible model due to how the convertible top functions.

    Is there enough space for backseat passengers and is it safe for them?

    • This will not allow enough space for the backseat passengers. The entire cage is a customer fit cage and will need work done for it to fit correctly.

    i was wondering does your roll bars and roll cages come pre notched, for hold and weld. Or do you have to notch them yourself??

    • The Roll Bar and Cages, including the Competition Engineering Complete 8-Point Roll Bar come with flat foot pedestals and they must be notched by the installer.

    The 8 point Roll Bars on the web site are both for coupe. What about Convertibles??

    • The Competition Engineering Complete 8-Point Roll Bar - Coupe (94-04 All) will not be able to fit the convertible models. We do not carry any roll bars that would work for a convertible model.

      not happy

      i am not happy with this product ima cut my lose and just save money and buy the team z pre notched and labeled 8point rollbar

      not bad.

      Product came in two boxes. Main hoop had its own box. I have more than enough tubing in this kit to make a cage. I can go around the top of the car and to the front on both sides. I tig welded the main hoop to where the rear seats used to be..rather than the floor. It seems more "tucked in" and I also tilted the main hoop a bit so it's not obvious I have anything inside. The gussets that came with it are a joke. But overall I think for the price....very worth it. The instructions say that this kit is just a template but can be custom fabbed to fit your needs. I have retained a lot of space in the car the way i installed it. Launches are solid. Car goes over bumps like a dream. I can go much much faster with more confidence. Since I have a v6 I can feel my car pull the extra weight. But a tune and a crank pulley will help me compensate. I recommend not installing the door bars because it feels like a death trap. I would try to get creative with this installation A sticker would have been nice....

      roll bar

      this roll bar was the greatest thing since slice bread and it was everything i wanted and in impeccable quality, the cuts the steel, the bends on the pipes plus 2 days free shipping every witch way i was happy. - thnx american muscle

      99 install

      I put one of these in my 99 cobra, being very careful to weld the main hoop outside of the car, I was able to slide it into the vehicle for final welding of the floor plates and downtubes. I was then able to install the stock 99 interior (with a rear seat delete) it all looks "factory"

      Rip it all out, weld it up, put it all back in!

      Do like the title says! That's for the rookies out there, that think they can weld but don't understand the heat!!! Pull out everything, seats, console, interior body panels, and then, make sure you get high heat welding blankets to protect your windows/dash and anything else you don't remove. Was a weekend project with 2 experienced welders. I also bought the carpet resto kit, would highly recommend that as well, especially if your carpet is a bit faded. Use common sense when painting the cage DO IT AFTER YOU WELD! haha. And make sure you wrap anything you don't want painted with plastic. You will have to shop around for the Cage Pads that you want.. AM!!! you need to carry those as well!! I will get some pictures up soon!
