      Description

      Upper Axle Bushing Replacement. The Detroit Speed Upper Axle Bushing Kit provides an OEM-quality replacement for the upper control arm bushings on solid rear axle Mustangs. These bushings support proper suspension articulation by allowing smooth pivoting of the upper links, enhancing ride quality and handling precision. They are essential for maintaining suspension integrity and are highly recommended when upgrading with Swivel-Links™.

      Construction and Appearance. These bushings are molded from high-durometer rubber, balancing durability and flexibility to optimize link movement without binding. The rubber’s robust composition ensures long-lasting performance under dynamic loads. The finish has a standard black rubber texture suitable for harsh automotive environments.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and typically requires basic tools to remove and replace the old bushings. No drilling or modification to suspension components is necessary, making it a convenient upgrade for professional and enthusiast mechanics alike.

      Application. Designed to fit 1979 through 2004 Mustangs equipped with 7.5" or 8.8" solid rear axles, excluding 1999-2004 Cobra models, which require different suspension components due to chassis design differences.
