More Power On a Budget. This Cold Air Intake was created with the budget minded Mustang modder in mind, you get the same power as the "big" names but at a fraction of the price. This Cold Air Intake replaces your GT Mustangs restrictive stock air box and paper filter element with a free-flowing aluminum intake tube and a high flow oiled filter for a noticeable increase in power and performance all while still providing excellent filtration from harmful power robbing dust particles.

No Tune Required. Unlike other Cold Air Intakes on the market for the 4.6L V8 GT Mustangs this Cold Air Intake does not require a computer re-tune. The designers really did their homework to improve your pony's power using the stock tune.

Reusable Filter. Included in this cold air intake kit is a Blue High Flow reusable air filter. So there is no need to go out and buy a new filter every few thousand miles. Just clean the filter, re-oil it, save money, and go.

Easy Installation. This Cold Air Intake kit is designed to install easily with basic hand tools in about an hour. No extra modifications or special tools are required for the installation. All parts and instructions are included.

Application. This Cold Air Intake System is specifically designed to fit the 2005 to 2009 GT Mustangs equipped with the 4.6L SOHC V8 engine and does not require re-tuning the vehicles computer for operation.

When I purchased my '08 GT it had been previously tuned (SCT), would I be able to add a CAI? Or would I need to return to stock in order to add this? Sct tuned, Steeda exhaust, Hurst shifter

Koprhed

  • For this intake you will not have to "retune" the car since this intake shares the same MAF housing size as the stock one. With that being said you can throw this intake on and go for a drive right after with out putting an additional tune on the car.

What are the horsepower gains of this specific type of CAI, especially since there isn't a brand or anything? I have an 08 GT with a pypes axleback muffler delete exhaust system.

TROB

  • None unless you get a Tuner. You don't see real world gains with just any CAI alone.

Comes with no instructions and with a million pieces. Once I figured it out and installed it, I went for a test drive and when I popped the hood afterwards.. the intake tube was extremely hot. The plastic was already starting to burn a bit. CHEAP MATERIALS! YOU CAN FIND THE SAME INTAKE ON EBAY FOR $60.00

    Cheap worth it? No.

I bought this for my 05 mustang. The hole in the tube for the sensor was rough cut and the edges tore the rubber grommet up. The blue rubber intake is to soft and pliable. I accidentally nicked it with a screwdriver trying to get the clamp over it onto the TB (a BBK 62 MM) AND it punctured. Not to mention np instruction included. I bought a KandN for quality.

    Great for the price!

I recently bought this intake to replace my stock housing and its actually a very awesome product! definitely noticed a difference in my throttle response and noticed a deep growl at higher rpms. overall deffinently worth the money, only down side is that there is no directions and once you find out how the heat shield goes on then the rest is easy.

    READ THIS REVIEW!

I bought this mostly for the looks and the sound. I had no other expectations and ended up being completely blown away. It actually made a really big difference in sound under the hood when you get on it! And it pulls noticibly harder in the upper rpms. My mpg is actually up about 3mpg too. Downside is there are no instructions. But, google this and follow the instructions. KN# 69-3523KP. Its the exact same intake. Basically you're getting a $350 intake for less than half the cost and I just gave you directions. You would have to be crazy not to buy this over any other similar intake. Because it's literally the same thing minus a name brand. Tips: I didn't use the bracket that's supposed to connect to the manifold bc I wasn't comfortable messing with that but it's plenty sturdy without it. Stick the end of the little blue hose in boiling water for about a minute at a time to get it on the elbow fitting. It makes it much more stretchy and will save you a lot of time and effort. I did it before I found the instructions and it was a pain but with the instructions Its easy and absolutely worth the money and effort.

    Pretty good

Better throttle response for a cheap price. If you don't want to break the bank buy this product and you won't regret it. Beats spending over 300$ on a name brand CIA.

    Amazing

The only downfall to this product is that it has no instruction at all so you have to piece everything together. Ps. You will need a heat gun to heat up the hose that comes with it

    Great Item!!!!..... No Instructions

This is a great CAI for the price. The only downside is that there are NO instructions on the installation. What probably could have taken 1 hour to install took about 2.5 - 3 hrs due to guess and checking every part 3 to 4 times. It is like a puzzle.

    Sounds great

If you know how a cold air intake should be installed its easy but even with my lack of experience I was able to figure it out and I love it. The car runs much nicer and sounds better.

The best deal ever. Price wise, looks wise, performance wise; it's the whole package one can expect to get, not only for the money, but for the overall benefit of having a set up like this one.

Good for the money you pay.

It wasn't hard to install it, but some minor issue showed up. First, the L shaped plastic fitting doesn't fit inside of blue hose. I tried to put the fittings inside of tube for about couple hours, and went out to get new smaller diameter one to get them in. But it was too small for tube side, so had to get heat protected tape to have them in. It took about 20~30 minute to put heat shield in. Used two bracket, two bolts and two nuts. I feel little bit of gain in throttle response, but don't think there is any HP or torque gain. Sound is much better than stock intake, and looks good under the hood. For the money, it is good product.

    How about directions

Got the budget cold air intake. Started the install by trying to figure everything out. Removed factory intake and started to fit the parts on my 07 GT. Got to the point of fitting the small plastic elbow into the blue piece of tubing and it wouldn't go in. Finally got discussed and put the factory intake back on until I can get a different piece of tubing. They should charge an extra $5 and include install directions. Guess that's what I get for being frugal.

    Good bang for the buck

Took about 30 minutes. I put the bracket on th power steering bracket first and everything else slipped right in. Little more pickup and mpg's.
