More Power On a Budget. This Cold Air Intake was created with the budget minded Mustang modder in mind, you get the same power as the "big" names but at a fraction of the price. This Cold Air Intake replaces your GT Mustangs restrictive stock air box and paper filter element with a free-flowing aluminum intake tube and a high flow oiled filter for a noticeable increase in power and performance all while still providing excellent filtration from harmful power robbing dust particles.

No Tune Required. Unlike other Cold Air Intakes on the market for the 4.6L V8 GT Mustangs this Cold Air Intake does not require a computer re-tune. The designers really did their homework to improve your pony's power using the stock tune.

Reusable Filter. Included in this cold air intake kit is a Blue High Flow reusable air filter. So there is no need to go out and buy a new filter every few thousand miles. Just clean the filter, re-oil it, save money, and go.

Easy Installation. This Cold Air Intake kit is designed to install easily with basic hand tools in about an hour. No extra modifications or special tools are required for the installation. All parts and instructions are included.

Application. This Cold Air Intake System is specifically designed to fit the 2005 to 2009 GT Mustangs equipped with the 4.6L SOHC V8 engine and does not require re-tuning the vehicles computer for operation.

What is the size of the filter, diameter and length?

Hi, I was just wondering if this intake will fit a 62mm throttle body. I like the way it looks and just want to make sure before buying. Thank you.

    • This intake will fit the 62mm throttle body yes! You may just need to stretch the coupler to get it over the throttle body.

When I purchased my '08 GT it had been previously tuned (SCT), would I be able to add a CAI? Or would I need to return to stock in order to add this? Sct tuned, Steeda exhaust, Hurst shifter

    • For this intake you will not have to "retune" the car since this intake shares the same MAF housing size as the stock one. With that being said you can throw this intake on and go for a drive right after with out putting an additional tune on the car.

      Good

I bought this filter because I liked the chrome pipe instead of most that’s made of plastic. Wasn’t sure about how you could clean the filter which didn’t fit very well. Found a KandN filter that fit perfectly.

      08 GT Convertible

Product is better than described. Less than half the price of other brands. Fit and finish is great. I only wish that blue were not the only color. Does not include instructions but I used the K and N directions which are pretty much the same.

      Not bad

Nice for the price, I wasn’t sent all the clamps which was kind of annoying so I bought my own.

      Do not buy

Bracket for valve covers did not fit my 08 GT convertible. Returned with in 2 hours of trying to install. Would have to modify valve cover. Not going to happen. I called AM, they directed me to K and N website. Did not help much. I suggest AM NOT SELL kits without instructions and unable to put you In touch with manufacture. Don’t bother. I am headed to my local Summit Racing store to get a KandN that installs in ford original mounting holes.

Good for an immediate starter mod.

Great price for the results. I wasn't paying what I considered much so I didn't expect much. I bought this along with a tuner. The combination did more than expected. I let 3 other people drive it before and after. All agreed it made a very noticeable difference. Good bang for the Buck! Installation was simple. Fits great!

sr performance cold air system was a great addition to my Mustang. Have installed and used several brands. We all want to make it better but like me we have a budget to keep to so if your looking to get a little kick for a few dollars this will surely fit the bill. Install no hard of course I have been doing cold air intakes for many mustangs. Just take your time what's the rush? Check everything after the install is done, That's all folks enjoy

      2006 Gt CAI

Great product but the people here cannot take care of their customers. Generic style unit came with no instructions and about 10 extra pieces of hardware so trying to figure the install was impossible. Talked with three people on the phone and NOBODY could even get me instructions. Looked back at old reviews and a past customer had a link to the KandN unit. He explained it was the same install and after i looked at their website it took 20 mins to put in. This is exactly the same but of coarse, they want you to pay $320 for that instead of the one i paid $140 for. I am only giving 4 stars because the unit is a steal for half price of others and a decent product. ZERO stars for customer service.

Easy to install after finding instructions online from a Mustang forum. Increased performance and great growl while accelerating. Looks great.

      Trash

Comes with no instructions and with a million pieces. Once I figured it out and installed it, I went for a test drive and when I popped the hood afterwards.. the intake tube was extremely hot. The plastic was already starting to burn a bit. CHEAP MATERIALS! YOU CAN FIND THE SAME INTAKE ON EBAY FOR $60.00

      Installation Of cold air intake

Installation was fairly simple not a lot of tools involved but it Would-be nice to have instructions . The main installation time was about an hour and another half hour 45 minutes to figure out where the rest of the parts go As I said earlier instructions Would-be nice

      Super cai

Just installed Sr. Performance cai . This is a very easy install . All the parts are easy to figure where they go . On the pcv hose . If you use heat gun on both ends of hose it will slide on . After hooking up everything . You can tell a lot of difference in sound alone . This is a great product . No spence in spending a fortune . You will be happy with this product

      Seems to work great but...

This is my first mod to my car. I can feel a little extra HP and TQ. During driving, going over 2500 rpm I get a nice deeper rumble. Installing it (Me being a beginner) took about an hour which a lot of that was trying to figure out how the heat shield goes in. However, assembling the blue vacuum tube with the black elbow joint took a ridiculous amount of time and needed a heat gun. With no instructions, the assembly took a little longer. Had 1 clamp ring and an N shape brace leftover.

      Great

I love it. It's great. I can feel the little bit more of a throttle response. Definitely helps the fuel mpg. The only negative is no instructions. I mean it is a cai which isn't hard. But I had trouble with finding how the mount went and the air filter won't stay clamped on. Other than that I love it

      Cheap worth it? No.

I bought this for my 05 mustang. The hole in the tube for the sensor was rough cut and the edges tore the rubber grommet up. The blue rubber intake is to soft and pliable. I accidentally nicked it with a screwdriver trying to get the clamp over it onto the TB (a BBK 62 MM) AND it punctured. Not to mention np instruction included. I bought a KandN for quality.

      Great for the price!

I recently bought this intake to replace my stock housing and its actually a very awesome product! definitely noticed a difference in my throttle response and noticed a deep growl at higher rpms. overall deffinently worth the money, only down side is that there is no directions and once you find out how the heat shield goes on then the rest is easy.
