    • 157-Tooth
    • 50 oz Balance
    • Cast Iron
    • Fits 1981 to 1995 5.0L V8 Mustangs, 93-95 Cobras
Peace of Mind. When replacing your clutch you have two options, resurfacing your old stock flywheel, or getting a brand new flywheel. A new flywheel is a much better choice than resurfacing, as the flywheel will dictate how well your clutch will perform, as well as how long it will last.

Cast for Strength. This Ford Racing Flywheel is cast from iron for extra strength and features a ring gear of 157 teeth, as well as a six bolt pattern. This is the perfect companion to your new Ford Racing Clutch.

Fitment. The Ford Racing Cast Iron 50oz flywheel is a direct replacement for the 1986-1995 5.0 Mustangs and the 1993-1995 Cobras with an engine balanced for 50oz. Will also fit the 1981-1985 5.0 Mustangs when converting the stock 10" clutch to a 10.5" clutch.

Technical Note. If you are replacing a Flywheel on a stock application, it would be best to use a 50 ounce flywheel. If the Flywheel will be used on a modified/bored and stock application a 28 ounce would be ideal. If you are having your engine rebuilt and are unsure what Flywheel to get, please contact your engine builder to confirm which Flywheel is necessary for your application as you have to match the engine's Harmonic Balancer weight with the Flywheel.

      .50 oz flywheel

Fits great and perfect performance. Working on a AOD to manual swap with the Tremec T5 and this flywheel holds up to the power of this transmission well.

Always go with a Ford product

Ordered an aftermarket flywheel and installed it in my 88 gt along with my brand new T56 Magnum and had vibration issues from the start( coming and going vibration). Ordered the Ford cast iron flywheel and immediately saw a huge improvement. Stick with Ford parts.

      Good stock replacement.

Bolts right into place. One thing is this fly wheel will not come with dowl pins for the pressure plate. You can easily removed the old pins from old flywheel and install them into new flywheel. Just don't hit the flywheel with your hammer by accident or you'll have a bad time.

Great fit. It only goes one one way so you don't have any worries. Stay with the heavier flywheel not the lighter version. American muscle is the way to go cheapest around

      Only FORD parts for me...

Installing this Ford Flywheel in my 1995 Ranger with 5.0 EFI swap. Had AOD tranny, but that didn't last, so I went the T-5 route. Had an aftermarket flywheel but wasn't sure about it, so the logical thing to do was purchase a FORD unit for my application. Works beautifully, no problems what-so-ever, and what a blast to drive now with the 5-speed compared to the automatic. Had no doubts that the FORD flywheel would fit and haven't looked back since I purchased/installed it!! Very Happy !!

      good product

It fit just right. If you are having troubles with your clutch you will have to change the flywheel to ensure performance gain.

The real deal for a great price.

If you've got a slipping clutch you should also take a look at your flywheel, it's probably been damaged. Just look for signs of bluish overheating on the surface where the clutch makes contact. If it's there you need to fix it or your new clutch disc will still not work right. You could get your old flywheel machined but for as little as this one costs you can go new for not much more. Ford OEM quality rather than risking that the machining isn't done right, with minimal extra cost. That's the way I went (along with a new disc, pressure plate,T/O bearing & pilot bushing). The car runs great! Plus it will hold up for the future mods I have in mind. You can't do better for anything close to this price. You won't see a performance gain in terms of a lower et since it's a stock replacement part but it will make a world of difference versus a worn/slipping clutch setup. The "gain" will be getting back to "like new" performance levels.
