Description

As great as standard 351 blocks are in the performance department, these are constructed from cast iron, making them quite heavy. This aluminum cylinder block gives you the same amount of performance from a unit that weighs only 118 pounds. As a result, this block saves a lot of weight, which is a critical element in competitive applications.
High-Strength Construction. The Ford Performance 351 9.50-Inch Deck Aluminum Block is constructed from 356-T6 grade aluminum. This makes for a cylinder block that has excellent strength to weight ratio. This aluminum block uses cast iron sleeves and steel main caps for strength.
Straight Bolt-On Installation. The Ford Performance 351 9.50-Inch Deck Aluminum Block is designed as a straight bolt-on assembly. Installing this aluminum block will require extensive mechanical knowledge and skills. You will also need a full set of mechanic’s tools and a full day’s work. Consequently, professional installation is recommended.
Application. The Ford Performance 351 9.5-Inch Deck Aluminum Block fits all Ford Mustang models.
Application Notes. The Ford Performance Aluminum Block is designed for competition use only. Installation on a street-going vehicle may be illegal in your state. This engine does not include its main bearings. Additionally, this cylinder block’s bores ship unfinished.
