Its rods and main journals are nitride-infused for added strength and polished for smooth performance. This crankshaft features rounded, counterweight-leading edges and tapered trailing edges, both contributing to its smooth running. Additionally, this crankshaft features lightening holes and doesn’t require narrow bearings for operation.

      Straight Install Procedure. The Ford Performance High Strength 302 3.40-inch Stroker Crankshaft installs straight into your Mustang’s engine. This crankshaft is ideal for use with 302 production or performance cylinder blocks. The installation will require advanced mechanical knowledge and skills, as well as a few special tools. Consequently, an installation by a professional is recommended.

      Application Notes. Installing this Ford Performance 3.40-inch Stroker Crankshaft will require balancing as well as custom pistons and rods. Damper bolt holes need to be counter-bored into the crank snout to strengthen it for supercharged applications.
