Hey, guys. Stephanie with www.AmericanMuscle.com here with these chrome coil covers from Ford Racing for 2011 and up GT and BOSS Mustangs. The chrome Ford Racing coil covers are gonna be a good option for those of you out there that are looking for some new coil covers, but they don't want a plastic cover and want a chrome finish. Coil covers are a very quick and easy way to add a little something to the engine bay, and covers can go a long way for the appearance of a 4-valve Coyote. So, the main thing that's gonna set these covers apart from the others is the finish. This is a bright triple plated chrome finish with the obvious Ford Racing logo etched into the face. You can't get this type of finish with a plastic cover, so these are made from a lightweight, die-cast aluminum. Now this isn't a thin piece of aluminum, it's more of a hardy cut piece, but it's still lightweight which is nice. And like all the Ford Racing products, you know that you're getting a quality product that's gonna fit properly. As far as price, I'm not gonna say that these are inexpensive or cheap. We're looking at spending about $350 for the pair here. Now like I said, these are Ford Racing products, you can expect high quality and a perfect fitment, and a product that's gonna hold up over time. If this is out of your price range, there are some other options that are available, that do cost a good bit less, and you can always check these out. So, the install here, if we wanna call it an install, is very easy and should take only a few minutes. All you really need as far as tools is a flat head screwdriver. The coil covers are in an area that can get very warm, so I wouldn't try to install these while the engine is still really hot. It would be easier to wait until the engine bay is cool. The things that are gonna need to be removed are the oil cap on the passenger side, and the PCV tube. There's a gray ring with a small release pin on it that you just slide backwards along the side of the tube, so you can pull the PCV tube towards you. The stock coil cover can be removed by just unsnapping it from the mounting points, and the new coil cover slides into the position, and you just thrust [SP] to get it to snap into place. The oil cap and the PCV tube needs to get back into place, and that's about it. The install's the same for both sides, minus the oil cap on the driver's side, so you don't even need any tools or experience to throw these on there. Like I mentioned earlier, these do fit very nicely which makes for an easy install and a nice look. So, wrapping things up here, the Ford Racing chrome coil covers are an easy and fast way to add a little something to the engine bay. They're made from a triple plated, die-cast aluminum, and like all Ford Racing products, they are a quality product that's built to last. They're very easy to install, and they fit perfectly.
