More Power. Increase the horsepower and torque output of your 3-valve 4.6L modular motor with a set of Ford Racing CNC Ported Cylinder Heads. This is a brand new OEM Ford production 3-valve cylinder head casting that has been CNC ported by Ford Racing to increase air flow and overall performance of your GT.

Improved Air Flow. These ported Ford Racing heads have an intake port volume of 202cc (stock is 174cc) allowing for an intake flow of approximately 272 cfm at .600" lift and an exhaust port volume of 73cc (stock is 62cc) allowing for an exhaust flow of approximately 190 cfm at .600" lift.

Fully Assembled.
Leak tested prior to assembly, each Ford Racing Head comes fully assembled with factory steel guides, production springs, valves, retainers, locks, and seals. Does not include camshaft, followers, and hydraulic lash adjusters.

Recommended Upgrade.
These ported heads can add over 50 rear wheel horsepower (SAE J1349)* when installed with a pair Ford Racing "hot rod cams" M-6550-3V on a stock valve train with the stock intake. *SAE J1349 is the most conservative and stringent testing standard used by Ford to certify power output.

This Ford Racing CNC Ported Passenger Side Cylinder Head is specifically designed to be a direct bolt-on performance upgrade for the 2005 to 2010 GT and Bullitt Mustangs with the 4.6L 3-valve V8 engine.

These heads will fit early 3V engines originally equipped with the "High thread" style 16MM spark plugs, but will require 2008-2010 12MM spark plugs and ignition coil upgrades.

Engines with late style 12MM spark plugs can be identified by coil engineering number 8L3E.
Engines with early style 16mm "High Thread" spark plugs can be identified by coil engineering number 3L3E.

          Ford Racing Ported Heads

          Great upgrade from Stock, great performance gains works great with new Cams and long tube headers for more power. Install requires time and patience. Requires New Head bolts, updated spark plugs (year 2008 with Brown Coil). you can easily RandR with out removing engine but requires lifting about 2-3" for access, always replace one side at a time. GREAT BUY!

          Review from Ford Racing CNC Ported 4.6L 3V Left Side Cylinder Head (05-10 GT)

          CNC Heads

          Prior to these heads, I had already added the hot rod cams, long tube headers, JLT Cold air intake and custom tune. I installed these heads along with the the FRPP high performance intake and the FRPP 62mm throttle body. Custom tune was updated and after a day of tuning and dyno runs, I picked up less than 30 rwhp and less than 10 ft lbs of torque. I was expecting more than that. If your goal is to add these to a aluminum block and forged bottom end, it is definitely worth the investment. If you are adding these to a stock bottom end, you may want to invest your money in other areas.

          Purchased these heads came in next day. Installation took a day to do. Can feel the power from 3000 to red line works great with my hot rod cams. Now to get dyno tune to what real horsepower they make

          Review from Ford Racing CNC Ported 4.6L 3V Left Side Cylinder Head (05-10 GT)

          Incredible Gains

          I purchased the CNC Ported Cylinder Heads along with the Ford Racing Hot Rod Camshafts and the necessary upgrades with the Zero Degree 12mm Spark Plugs and corresponding wires. Just like clockwork AM came thru with a fast delivery. Having already installed a CAI, GMS Twin 62mm TB I wanted to add the final pieces to this 2008 early year model project. The install went smoothly at the shop and the difference is light night and day. The car absolutely flys starting around 3000 rpms and well past the stock redline numbers. The heads along with the camshafts have pushed this 4.6 well past my buddies 05 GTO 6.0 which was my goal. All he saw at the end of the 1/4 was the SHR Honeycomb Decklid panel I purchased from AM a few weeks prior. Thanks AM! The project is now completed for all intense purposes with one last thing coming up, the official horsepower rating. I'm pretty sure I am well past 400 at this point being naturally aspirated but will submit the scores to AM when I get them. One last thing, the 2008 Stage 3 Roush that pulled up got the same view as the GTO at the end.
