How to Install Ford Racing Oil-Air Separator on your Mustang

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. AT ANY TIME YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE INSTRUCTIONS, PLEASE CALL THE FORD PERFORMANCE TECHLINE AT 1-800-367-3788

Kit contents:
1 - Oil separator
2 - Hoses
1 - Push pin 6mm
1 - Push pin 8mm
1 - Nut, flanged self locking

Step 1. Remove breather tube marked #1 from air inlet tube and valve cover.


NOTE: Non R models require minor trimming of sound deadening material to access mounting location for 6mm push pin. (see arrow)

Step 2. Install oil separator using the 2 pushpins and 1 nut . Larger 8mm push pin in used in the location under strut brace. Lightly tighten nut so not to deform separator bracket .

Step 3. Install the 2 breather hoses.


The picture below shows the RH M-6766-A50 and the LH M-6766-A50S installed on a GT350 Mustang.


Maintenance is based on the type of driving the vehicle is subjected to.
Track type driving will require more frequent checks for accumulation of oil in the separator. Remove separator and tilt so to empty oil out from the lower fitting. Do not empty from upper fitting!


If removal of the top cover is required, when reinstalling torque socket head screws to 4.5 to 5 Nm.
