5.13 Gear Ratio. The G2 Ring Gear and Pinions have a high differential gear ratio of 5.13:1. The result is a boost in performance and acceleration, all without a hard hit to your Mustang's fuel economy.
8620 Steel. G2 makes the Ring Gear and Pinions high-strength to accommodate heavier loads while racing and to meet daily demands as well as OEM. This is all possible with a forged 8620 steel construction, OE specifications, and the latest in manufacturing methods. The final step is heat-treating the steel for additional durability.
Cress Shaft Modification. The 5.13 Differential Gear Pair may require modifying the cress shaft to complete the installation.
Professional Upgrade. With many steps in the installation and the intricacy of those steps, a professional is recommended for the job. The pro, whether a mechanic or service provider, can typically complete the installation in 4 hours. The setup ensures the pair runs as quietly as stock.
