Nice product at first
I purchased these in 2007 for my 01 Stang GT. Had no issues up until about a year and half ago when the first one went out. I called Granatelli to get a return number since the product had a "Lifetime" Warranty. I sent it in, and they sent me a new one. Same thing happened when the second one went out. My third one just recently went out. When I contacted Granatelli I was informed that this would be the last one they would exchange because they no longer carry a Lifetime Warranty( new ones have 90 day warranty)! Obviously quality has gone way down and they don't feel confident enough to stand behind their product anymore!!Helpful (13)

Caught these on sale but I am still very pleased with the quality and performance over OEM. I would suggest these to anyone looking for a good quality coil packs that are looking to do bigger mods later on. I saw a couple of bad reviews that stated some didn't work out of the box but you take that chance with any electrical product that is bought. I am pleased with mine.Helpful (11)

These are not ordinary plugs
I hesitated in getting these plugs after reading bad reviews of them everywhere but I am glad I got them. I have just installed them and tested drive the car. Engine runs much smoother, acceleration is quicker and seems to have improved fuel consumption. These are not ordinary plugs and plug and play isn't that easy. It took me 2 hours to install these to make sure every coil plugs are properly clipped onto the spark plugs. You have to first removed the boots to inspect every coil that the spark plug clips are tightly crimped on the steel wire and use a plier to crimp them if they are loose. It is best if you have a spark plug handy so you can test fit them for tightness and length before you install them. Also when installing, do not force them into the hole. If the clips do not connect with the spark plugs properly you may have misfires down the road. Just gently move the coil plugs around until they clip onto the spark plugs. Besides the little complication and precaution installing them, this is a great product and I totally recommend it.Helpful (11)

Great coil packs
I read a lot of bad reviews about these plugs but I was in the market for new ones since my other aftermarket yellow coil plugs all went bad in a few months. I decided to buy these because it says they will work great for supercharger applications and that's what I have. Very easy to instal with no problems and after about 6 months never had any problem. My engine seems to run better but I can't prove it into next Dyno time.Helpful (11)

This has been my worst auto parts purchase ever, having one dead on install and was told I would get a replacement "never did" then had a second one go out then the nite mare to remove them with their poor quality crimped on connectors that came apart on removal had to go in with needle nose pliers to get them out and now have them in a box and just going to ship them back to grantelli so I find fault on them and american muscles customer service, and most likely not use either again,Helpful (18)

GMS 2V Pro-series
I read the reviews before i bought these and almost changed my mine after reading some bad reviews, i bought these last year, due to my car having a jerky feeling while accelarating in 2nd gear and cruising at 75mph, my car is an 01 Stage II roush with a V2SQ blower w/aftercooler, built internals, cams and RR intake. 1st of all piece of cake to install! Mine was all one 1pc.(8 coils ea) dont know what the other guys are talking about putting the coils together? I tried changing MAF, plugs, re-gapped to 025,030 and 035, crankshaft position sensor, fuel filter, Air filter, stock coils with others, tune, and still had the slight hesitation. I gambled and bought these and i have to say my jerky feeling was gone! Even my tuner was a little hesitant about telling me too buy any aftermarket coils but once bolted up the car started running smooth, driveability specifically is great. I even took them off cause i planned on selling the car over the winter, first thing i noticed last month when i took her out for a drive was that jerky feeling again! put the GMS coils back on and hesitation was gone. Cant say if i made any power cause i took it to 2 different tuners trying to correct the problem. Overall good product but pricey!Helpful (10)

STOP HATING AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!
For those retards buying these coils and thinking that with a stock tune you'll be able to see gains....FAIL ON YOU!!! I have had these coils on my 2002 GT for over three years now on three different engines. My original with 137,322 miles w/100 shot. Second engine, completely stock N/A...ran to 4005 miles and then I flooded it in a huge puddle, and finally my latest build, .030 over, forged 9.5:1 compression for about 5300 miles now...N/A. Total mileage with no problems around... ~ 60,000 miles. All with a Diablo Sport Predator tune. If you would take the time to make sure the connections to the plugs were set right, then you'd be thrilled you purchased these. If you half assed it, sorry but you've wasted your money. I would buy these over and over again. Also, I dont want to brag but this is all coming from a guy who ran an optima battery for close to 9 years.Helpful (18)

These are a "CRAP" shoot
I brought a set of these back in 09, not from AM. They were a pain in the anus to assemble. You should not have to assemble a $400.00 electrical component with a hammer (as per instuctions). My 02 GT came to life with these cops and felt like you just hit the button on a 100 shot. Three days later they started to CRAP out one at a time. Finally enough is enough and replaced them with with MSD and never looked back. Its a shame that something that felt that good ain't worth a plug nickelHelpful (26)

I have a Vortech blower on my 03 GT along with some other mods and it has a custom tune. I'm ready to upgrade my coil packs and put a new set of plugs in. Will I need to have it re-tuned after install?
The GMS 2V Pro-Series Coil Pack is considered a direct replacement, so you will not need to get a tune.
These used to come pretty much un-assembled (the contact wire part). Is this still the case or are they now plug and play?
Can these coils work in a stock Gt ?
The GMS 2V Pro-Series Coil Packs are not ideal for installation on a fully stock Mustang GT. These Coils are intended for use on a forced induction set up for Mustangs making a few hundred horsepower.
Do you need to modify your tune? I have the 3 tune Bama chip and would like to know if it needs to be retuned if I installed these. John.
You wouldn't need to have your Mustang retuned with the installation of a new coil pack. Hope this helps!
